Fast Forward On Diesel
Actor Vin Diesel who became a major movie star after the success of THE Fast & the Furious, is back in the movie抯 fourth instalment.
WHEN The Fast & the Furious, directed by Rob Cohen, hit the screens in 2001, this high speed action film about illegal racing was a stupendous hit, catapulting actors Vin Diesel and Paul Walker into the big leagues.
However, the sequel 2 Fast 2 Furious (2003) only saw Walker抯 character, undercover agent Brian O扖onnor making a return while Diesel himself opted for other projects such as XXX and later, The Pacifier.
The third sequel, directed by Justin Lin, The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006), featured none of the original stars but Diesel made a cameo in the end.
The fourth chapter of the film, Fast & Furious sees the return of both leading men, as well as characters featured in the first film played by Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster.
Lin also returns and this instalment of the hugely successful franchise is one of the films to look out for this year.
Fast & Furious takes place eight years after ex-con Dominic Toretto (Diesel) drove across the Mexican border in order to escape the law. Holed up in a beach shack in the Dominican Republic with Letty (Rodriguez), he tries to piece together a new life.
When the tragic death of someone he loves brings him back to L.A., Toretto reignites his feud with agent O扖onner (Walker). But now, both have a shared enemy |
