kalau ikut ranking 2006, ranking farid no 10. dengan 70k. masa tu rosyam, apek, erra, even yusry dibayar more than 100k, and newcomer cam que haidar dah dpt 60k/film

HAVE you ever wondered who are Malaysia's most bankable stars and how much they command for a film? Wonder no more since we present you with THE list, based on industry sources and box office collections.
However, please note that the estimated price tag of each actors and actresses in the list, is the fee for a leading role per film and is just an estimation! Their fee for a supporting role is much lower!
The price tag could be higher or lower, depending on their 'price-haggling' with the producers, before they sign on the dotted line. Simply put, it is their average asking price.
The price tag could be lower if they come in as co-producer, in which, they get a percentage of a movie's profit.
It is learnt that an actress [not in the list] received up to RM200,000 to play a leading role in a movie. Yet, she is not in the list because her bankability has not been proven.
Saiful Apek
Estimated price tag: RM150,000
Why?: He is the only comedian who can pull in both the urban and rural movie-goers to the cinemas! His last film, Bujang Senang (in which he is the leading actor), raked in RM2.9 million. Prior to that, both Ladyboss and Anak Mami Kembali, collected more than RM2.2 million each. His films with the weakest ticket collections were those in which he played supporting roles ( Main-Main Cinta, Man Laksa) or in serious roles ( Gila Bola, Biar Betul?). He will play Malaysia's first superhero in Cicakman, scheduled for a year end release as well as Nana Tanjung for Hari Raya Puasa.
Unknown fact: For the film Main-Main Cinta, he played the character originally meant for Aznil Nawawi.
Yusry Abdul Halim
Estimated price tag: RM130,000
Why?: None of his films tanked at the local box office! His last film was Ladyboss, which made more than RM2.2 million in ticket sales. His other box-office hits were Kuliah Cinta (which raked in RM4.1 million), Hingga Hujung Nyawa (more than RM2.5 million), Cinta Kolestrol (RM3.5 million), Gerak Khas - The Movie 2 (RM2.9 million) and Mr Cinderella (RM3.5 million). Even his film with the weakest ticket collection, Mr Cinderella 2, collected RM1.5 million. Yusry now prefers to direct and his feature film directorial effort will be Cicakman, in which he also plays a supporting role.
Unknown fact: Yusry is a perfectionist who believes that nothing is impossible.
Erra Fazira
Estimated price tag: RM120,000
Why?: She is still the queen of Malaysian cinema. And despite a waning box-office sales of her recent films, she still gets offered the leading roles. There is no doubt that Persona Non Grata was a failure, as it collected less than RM500,000 - but that can be considered a very rare incident, since almost all her other films collected between RM1 million and RM6 million in ticket sales. Her successful movies include Sembilu 2, Pasrah, Gerak Khas - The Movie, Mr Cinderella, Cinta Kolestrol, Kuliah Cinta, Ladyboss and KL Menjerit 1. She has completed three films ( Qabil Kushry Qabil Igam, Los & Faun and Sumolah), all of which are expected to be released next year.
Unknown fact: She has written a romance novel, which will be out anytime soon!
Rosyam Nor
Estimated price tag: RM100,000
Why?: He is still the leading man whom, most producers can rely on to bring movie-goers to the cinemas. His film KL Menjerit 1 collected more than RM2 million. Although his Malaysian James Bond franchise (Castello) did not fly, he is still aiming to do a sequel. His other box-office hits were Gangster, Laila Isabella and KL Menjerit 2. His flops included all his earlier films and Berlari Ke Langit, a heavy drama. Rosyam has completed two flicks (Bilut and Syaitan), both with director Badaruddin Azmi.
Unknown fact: His company, Suhan Trading, has released a novel entitled Dewa Cintaku that features him on the book cover.
Maya Karin
Estimated price tag: RM80,000
Why?: After three false starts (Seri Dewi Malam, No Problem and Mr Cinderella 2), Maya Karin's acting career took an about turn in Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam. That film not only collected RM3.8 million in ticket sales, it also got her the title of Asia Pacific Best Actress. The sequel, Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam 2, hit RM2.5 million. She did a cameo in the supernatural romance 7 Perhentian, which collected about RM1.5 million. She has just completed a horror thriller, Jari Hantu, and is now shooting Anak Halal (in which she plays a tomboy).
Unknown fact: Maya is a bookworm, and she spends her free time during shooting with a book.
Nasha Aziz
Estimated price tag: RM80,000
Why?: She is without doubt one of Malaysia's best actresses. Just watch her performance as a psychotic killer in Trauma, and you will be impressed with her talent. Unfortunately, Trauma made less than RM1 million at the box office. Yet, in light-hearted comedies like Cinta Luarbiasa, Laila Isabella, Buli and Buli Balik, she scored big, as each film collected more than RM2 million in ticket sales. Her pulling power will be tested next in the horror flick Puaka Tebing Biru, scheduled for release early next year.

Hans Isaac
Eestimated price tag: RM70,000
Why?: He is the most popular non-Malay actor in Malaysia. His most recent film, Persona Non Grata tanked, but films like Buli, Buli Balik and Baik Punya Cilok! were all box-office hits. He is very choosy when it comes to acting in feature films. He has completed Los & Faun and Qabil Kushry Qabil Igam. His next project is Menara, a romance in which he plans to direct.
Unknown fact: He is Erra Fazira's best friend!
Afdlin Shauki
Estimated price tag: RM70,000
Why?: Afdlin has a unique sense of humour that fortunately appeals to people of all walks of life and races. He prefers to write, act and direct his own movies simple because he can put in all his visions and creativity into them. In fact, movie in which he acted in and directed were money makers - Buli, Buli Balik and Baik Punya Cilok! Other films that hit RM1 million were Gerak Khas - The Movie 2, Biar Betul?, Gila Gila Pengantin Remaja and Gila Gila Pengantin Popular.
Unknown fact: The successful Buli will soon be turned into a TV series.
Fasha Sandha
Estimated price tag: RM70,000
Why?: She is the most prolific actress of today - that is, after a few crashes (Black Maria, Bintang Hati and SH3). She has appeared in two of the most successful movies in the past two years (Bujang Senang and Anak Mami Kembali), and will next be seen in Nana Tanjung, Cicakman and Cinta. Although her most recent horror flick Gong only collected about RM500,000, she is still the darling of local producers. She is now shooting Anak Halal, and will soon shoot an Indonesian film, Badai Pasti Berlalu.
Unknown fact: She is now busy promoting her first novel, a supernatural romance (Sumpahan Fasha).
Farid Kamil
Estimated price tag: RM70,000
Why?: The youngest and the fastest rising actor today. Almost all the films he starred in made a killing at the box-office: Cinta Kolestrol, Mistik, Anak Mami Kembali, Kuliah Cinta and 7 Perhentian. Unfortunately, when he changed his appearance to play a nerd student in Main-Main Cinta, the film only collected RM1.1 million. His star value helped Remp-It (which is still showing in cinemas) pass the RM3.8 million mark. He is still studying in UiTM, and is currently shooting Anak Halal.
Unknown fact: He is the script-writer for Remp-It.
