i'm currently in love with Dayang's Hilang.. lagu ni is not a typical ballad.. it may take some time b4 u like & appreciate the song.. but for me, aku sgt suka lagu ni even at the 1st time i heard Dayang sang kat PH dulu.. here is the story Audi told in his imeem..

Let me tell you the story of this song. Once in awhile, I write because I feel like it. Not because someone asked me to. And when I do write,it's usually very personal. I wrote this in November 2005. I was going through sounds and came across the flute sound you hear at the intro.It's the Mellotron flute. I play that line and immediately it just haunted me and sucked me in. And the song just wrote itself. I knew it was not an easy song to get recorded because it's not your typical ballad. I was right. Throughout 2006, I've been trying to get the song recorded. I pitched it to Misha Omar (Ramli MS rejected it), Ziana Zain, Jaclyn Victor (Izham rejected), and even Liza Hanim. I was about to give up on the song. Then Liza (Dayang's manager) came into the picture. And Dayang recorded it. Looking back, I thank God that the song was rejected by the others because I cannot imagine anyone else singing it. Dayang took the song to the next level. I do not do many ballads because I find them boring but I love "Hilang". It's one of my best works yet. As to it being called "Hilang", let me go on record and say that I'd always wanted to call this song "Hilang". It's in my demo.Simply because you know it's a song about loss. It's a sad song. Dayang recorded it first. Then when I worked on Diddy's album, the lyricists coincidentally called this other ballad I wrote "Hilang" too. What can I say? Or do? Let it be. Truth be told, I love both "Hilang"s. And as you can hear, there is a connection. Both are ballads which this new sound I am promoting. And there's a little operatic bit at the end of Dayang's Hilang which was supposed to be a foreshadow to Diddy's Hilang. And also, Diddy is a big fan of Dayang. And both singers' names start with D. And there is also a D in my name. So, in conclusion, I love this song. I love Dayang in this song. If anyone would love to mashup Dayang's and Diddy's Hilang, let me know.

i really fall in love with this song now..in fact i was crying when first I play this song...it is really touching and haunting melody...i love the first part and ending part really... |
