'Entertainment Weekly' Interview with Ahn Sung Ki & Lee Byung Hun
Source: Nate
On KBS2 'Entertainment Weekly' aired on June 30, actor Ahn Sung Ki had praised Lee Byung Hun as someone with a great focus and commitment in his work in an interview with them in Los Angeles recently. And at the recent Hand Printing ceremony in LA, both actors certainly had a remarkably awesome time that is still hard to believe happening to them.
Byunghun recalled the first time he met actor ASK while in high-school, citing a funny incident between them. Not too sure the detail but something about fashion.. seems that BH remembered that ASK was wearing a bright red jacket and pants at he the time. LOL.

Lee Byung Hun and Ahn Sung Gi’s leaves their footprints on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame
Source: TV Report ilnungcha Korea.com
Recently, actor Lee Byung Hun and Ahn Sung Gi hand printed together.
On the episode of SBS TV’s Good Morning, which aired on July 2, Lee Byung Hun and Ahn Sung Gi attended Hollywood’s famous hand-printing event. This was held on June 23, and it was especially meaningful because they were the first Asian actors to do so.
This day, Lee and Ahn dressed up in sharp tuxedos and appeared at Gauman’s Chinese Theatre’s Walk of Fame.
Lee revealed, “When I first heard about the new, I thought back about the last twenty years of my life. I will ponder deeply about how to repay this glory. I am honored to leave my footprints and truly happy.”
Lee and Ahn printed their hands and feet along with their names. Lee attracted attention of the media by acting cute and posing in various ways.
To congratulate their hand-printing, Lee and Ahn received commemorative medals. Lee said, “I think that our country’s movie and actors are highly appreciated.” |

This Just In! Anthony Hopkins to Star in Red 2
BY CATHERINA GIOINO theyoungfolks.com
After negotiations, Anthony Hopkins is to star as the villain Edward Bailey in Red 2. While the film is still untitled, we know it will star the previous actors Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren and Mary-Louise Parker. We also know that Byung-hun Lee (G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) will star in it, as well as Catherine Zeta-Jones, who told MTV that she will star as a Russian double agent.
While it has been rumored that Morgan Freeman will join the cast, it seems doubtful since (SPOILER) he was shot in the first movie. Anthony Hopkins was in previous talks about becoming the villain in the film, but he had to shoot Thor 2, but since filming starts in September, Hopkins agreed to the film. Hopkins’ role was stated to be a, “genius scientist who was locked up in an insane asylum.” (Sounds a bit like Hannibal Lecter to me).
Dean Parisot is set to direct the sequel, beating out many directors for the job. |

Lee Byung Hun Says He Failed His Driver's License Test Nine Times
Source: Nate l CJ E&M enewsWorld Oh, MiJung Translation Credit : Erika Kim
The seemingly perfect Lee Byung Hun, voice actor for Hyundai Motor Company, confessed that he had failed his driver’s license test nine times.
The confession came in the interview posted on Hyundai Motor Company’s advertisement page.
When the interviewer asked whether he had any special memories about cars, the actor said, “I failed my driver’s license test nine times, and I finally made it on my 10th try. I had to take the entire test over again from the written examination if I failed my 10th, so I did my best with the thought that it was my last chance, and I made it.”
He added with a laugh, “My mother used to drive an indigo Sonata Gold. I took the car out for a drive after I got my license, but I found turning the curves so hard that I just drove in a straight line for about an hour. I barely managed to make a u-turn to go back home.”
“I see a lot of Hyundai cars overseas,” he said. “I’m happy to be modeling for such a company.”
To a question asking how he felt while shooting his first Hollywood film G.I.Joe, he answered, “It felt like I was swimming the open sea without anything to point me. I could set down the burden I felt only after we finished shooting and I heard I had done well.”
He finished, “I want to be a passionate actor. The life I believe would be brilliant is a life in which I can work hard and enjoy some positive relaxation.”
Lee Byung Hun recently returned to Korea after attending a hand printing event with Ahn Sung Ki in Hollywood.
His film, Gwanghae, the Man Who Became King, is set for a premiere this fall. His second Hollywood film G.I.Joe 2 will premiere across the world in March 2013. |
