2. philadelphia eagles at new orleans saints - fox, 5:00 pm PST, 8:00 pm EST, 9 am MYT next day.
sunday jan 14, 2007:
1. seattle seahawks at chicago bears - fox, 10:00 am PST, 1:00 pm EST, 2:00 am MYT next day.
2. new england patriots at san diego chargers - cbs, 1:30 pm PST, 4:30 pm EST, 5:30 am MYT next day.
my predictions: ravens, saints, bears and patriots (this is an upset).
potential upsets: colts over ravens and eagles over saints.

what a game between the colts and the ravens. colts cover two defense really stepped up to match the play of physical baltimore defense, led by ed reed and ray lewis. neither team able to score touchdown. mr. automatic, adam vinatieri, kicked 5 field goals to help the colts beat the ravens 15-6. colts big five did a good job of holding off baltimore front seven, good enough to give manning enough time to find his receivers and moved the chain. both teams commited turnovers but none of them made big different in determining the winner of this game.
congratulation to coach dungy and company for advancing to afc championship game.
now, they are big fan of new england patriots to beat the chargers. if the pats upset the chargers, afc championship game will be played at rca dome in indianapolis a week from tomorrow.

the saints had just beaten the eagles 27-24 in a very interesting game. both teams didn't hold at all. everything was out on the field. rookie coach, sean payton, did a marvelous job in turning around the saints from 3-13 team last season to a participant in nfc championship game, their first in franchise history.
kudos to the eagles too for not giving up the season after their star qb, donovan mcnabb, went down during regular season. led by jeff garcia, ex-niners qb and ex-cfl star, eagles headed to the playoff as the hottest team. but, the short preparation week really had an effect on their running game.
congratulation to drew brees and company.

the game between chicago bears and seattle seahawks went down to the wire with the bears held on to win 27-24 in overtime. this time, the hawks played the way everybody expected them to play. they were a different team compared to the team that defeated the cowboys last saturday. seattle won the coin toss in overtime and chose to keep the ball. however, seattle was not able to capitalize on the first opportunity they got in overtime. instead, robbie gould kicked a 49-yard field goal to take chicago to nfc championship next week in soldier field against the new orleans saints.
congratulation to lovie smith and the team.

what a game between the pats and the bolts. both teams kept fighting till the end for a spot in afc championship game next sunday. as a first year starter in the playoff, phillip river surprised me as to how calm he was in this big game. however, his inexperience was exposed in the fourth quarter. ladanian tomlinson, what can we say about this guy. he's just marvelous. he's really an mvp of the league. just the best all around player.
with another fourth quarter comeback under his belt, tom brady and company beat the team with the best record in the regular season, the san diego chargers, in san diego. with 24-21 win, and a nice move and great catch by ex-charger, rece caldwell,, new england patriots move on to afc championship game hosted by the colts in indianapolis, indiana. the game will be played at rca dome.
