7 Artis Bernaung Dengan Dream MusiC

KUALA LUMPUR, 6 OKTOBER 2009: Syarikat rakaman tempatan dan penyanyi belum lagi berkubur. Walaupun penerbitan album masih lagi gawat, edaran album secara single mahupun dalam pelbagai bentuk tetap diusahakan oleh mereka yang terbabit. Ini amat penting bagi meneruskan kesinambungan dunia hiburan.
Salah satu label tempatan yang menyambung usaha ini adalah Dream Music Sdn Bhd, anak syarikat Dream Chorus Sdn Bhd. Mereka nyata berani menanggung risiko dengan mengambil beberapa artis untuk bernaung di bawah pengurusan mereka.
Mereka adalah Sheila Abdul, Nadia AF6, Aishah AF7, Claudia AF7, Rina, Am dan kumpulan dari Singapura, Revalina.
Ketika majlis pelancaran sekali gus sambutan rumah terbuka Aidilfitri di Restoran Seri Melayu, Kuala Lumpur semalam,
Dream Chorus telah melancarkan produk terbaru mereka iaitu gundu.com.my selain memperkenalkan artis naungan mereka.
Selain 7 artis baru tersebut, Dream Music yang memulakan beroperasi pada awal 2009 juga memiliki 8 artis digital (penyanyi download dari Internet) iaitu Silvergun, Superman, Fadzly Izat, Diary, Bite Me Butterfly, News at 11, Maleena, O-Two Band dan Tika Lama.
"Kami yakin artis yang bernaung dengan kami punya masa depan yang cerah. Kalau kita tidak percayakan mereka, siapa lagi? Justeru, kami akan sentiasa membantu mereka," kata Julius Ng selaku Pengarah Dream Music.
Sementara itu, sempena kemunculan kumpulan Dream, sebuah konsert dipanggil KL Live Centre akan dianjurkan pada 5 Disember 2009. Konsert ini memberi peluang artis terbabit menghiburkan peminat. |

GUNDU.COM.MY BRINGS LOCAL INDIE BANDS TO GUNDU GIG LIVE IN KL!
Gundu.com.my as a Stage To Fame October10th, 2009
Most of our underground indie bands or youngsters began writing songs simply because they can’t help themselves. They simply fell in love with the creative process and they got “hooked”, forever. It wasn’t long, however, before we began to realize that in addition to the creative payback they received each time, there just might also be an opportunity for financial payback. But on the “flip side” of those success stories lurks the darker possibility of gifted, but penniless talents who become the victims of the industry and nearly starve to death despite their many undiscovered songs.
We won’t let those talents and creative ideas wash down the sink. How can we help to monetize these valuable assets? Dream Chorus Sdn Bhd is proud to present Gundu.com.my, the First Malaysian User Generated Content (UGC) portal, which caters to all talents who desires to initiate their creativities and contents for public recognition and ascend the STAGE TO FAME.
In conjunction with the premier of Gundu.com.my, Dream Chorus Sdn Bhd will be organizing a Gundu GIG this coming 5th December 2009 at KL Live Centre, Kuala Lumpur. This is our first mini concert exclusively to showcase and highlight Gundu born artistes and Dream Music indie bands to the industry.
Along with the tagline “STAGE TO FAME”, the Gundu GIG will feature 5 indie bands. To spice up the arena, one of Malaysia’s hottest bands will be slated to perform alongside. Primarily a platform for these indie bands to showcase their wealth of talent, the Gundu GIG is also to entice and encourage for other local indie bands to sign up with Gundu.com.my.
Unlike YouTube, Gundu.com.my allows registered users to generate income through uploaded digital contents. The demand for such mobile entertainment especially Ring Back Tone (RBT) has been driven by the increasingly heightened lifestyles of consumers, and together with the desire to personalize, Gundu.com.my is enabling these contents to be converted into Ring Back Tone (RBT) as this is recognized as an important accessory for their mobile devices to differentiate from their peers.
In addition to uploading of audio contents, the features and technology of the website also includes Membership Management, Video Management and Photo Management. People can see first-hand accounts of our current local audio tracks, search for video clips, photos and also drop some thoughts and comments.
“We provide Gundu.com.my as a platform for individual, independent and unsigned artistes, especially local contents, to share and expose their creativity and talent within the global market. Dream Chorus Sdn Bhd has struck numerous partnership deals with more than 60 local content providers, including indie and mainstream. As the Master Content Provider of RBT or better known as Call Me Tones (CMT) service for Celcom (M) Berhad, Dream Chorus has over 1 Million CMT subscribers and targeting to achieve 2 Million CMT subscribers by end of 2009.
The advent of digital content has changed the scene of the music industry. Looking at the current market, entertainment on the go is increasingly part of the lifestyle of mobile phone users. Apart from the function and responsibility of the record label to promote and foster the music and the careers of its artistes (A&R), Dream Music Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Dream Chorus Sdn Bhd is responsible to generate income and exposure for indie music via Ring Back Tones to all Telcos, including Celcom, Maxis, Digi and U-Mobile.
Located at Mont Kiara, Dream Music began operations in early 2009. If the response is promising, we will proceed to record full albums,” Mr. Julius Ng, Director of Dream Music Sdn Bhd explains of Dream Music’s digital music strategy.
“The move seems to appeal to Malaysian music lovers. Music from local acts such as Hujan and Aizat are perfect examples of the new business module. Hujan recorded more than 40,000 downloads even before their album was completed. Aizat managed over one million downloads from only one song. Coupled with an efficient marketing and promotions campaign, this is proof enough of a winning strategy,” he added.
In the near future, a website called Dream Mobile will be commence its service to the public by offering an online platform for mobile entertainment applications trades such as music, video, mobile games, wallpapers, graphics and icons. Dream Mobile will also carry all Gundu.com.my and Dream Music contents.

Pada 5 Oktober 2009 lalu, sebuah portal muzik yang baru yang diberi nama GUNDU telah diadakan di Restoran Seri Melayu, No. 1 Jalan Conlay, Kuala Lumpur. Mengikut orang kuat Dream Chorus, Gundu dalam bahasa Melayu bermaksud benda yang dilempar atau dilantun. Tapi bila Budiey check dalam kamus kat internet, Gundu ada 3 makna mengikut bahasa.
1. Based mainly on South Indian/Dravidian origin, it represents a fat or corpulent person - proud owners of love handles and usually, double chins.
2. A bomb (Tamil, India)
3. Javanese or indian origin from the word gundol, meaning bald. in singapore and malaysia “gundu” means idiot or silly.
4. A Hindi word for the hole in one’s arse. Usually has connotations of anal sex and homosexuality.
When two men are locked in a prison cell for a number of years without female porn, then gundu is bound to happen.
Haha… tak kisah la apa pun apa makna tersirat dalam kata GUNDU ni, tapi yang penting, korang masuklah sendiri dan tengok portal baru ni.
Majlis yang berlangsung jam 5 petang dan dianjurkan oleh Dream Chorus itu dihadiri oleh ramai selebriti yang rata-ratanya, Budiey tengok adalah bintang Akademi Fantasia seperti Aishah, Claudia, Rini dan ramai lagi. Mereka adalah artis di bawah Dream Music yang juga mengambil penyanyi seperti Sheila Abdul, Arm, Rina dan Revalina iaitu sebuah grup dari Singapura.
