Girls’ Generation members Sunny & Hyoyeon deny rumors of leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2′
Girls’ Generation members Sunny & Hyoyeon have been rumored to be leaving KBS 2TV‘s variety show, ‘Invincible Youth 2‘.
However on March 27th, a Girls’ Generation representative informed MyDaily, “Girls’ Generation members Sunny and Hyoyeon will not be leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2′.”
“These rumors came not only as a surprise to the staff members, but to us as well,” the rep continued.
‘Invincible Youth 2′ is expected to undergo some restructuring, switching out a few of the G8 members among other changes.
Of the 3 MCs, Boom will be staying on the program while Lee Soo Geun and Ji Hyun Woo have decided to leave after some discussion with the staff members.
Lee Soo Geun is leaving the show to spend some more time with his wife who is ill, and Ji Hyun Woo wants to focus on his new tvN drama in which he has been recently cast as a male lead.
But the G8 members including f(x)‘s Amber, Jewelry‘s Yewon, Rainbow‘s Woori, Girls’ Generation members Sunny & Hyoyeon, KARA‘s Kang Jiyoung, SISTAR‘s Bora, and miss A’s Suzy have not yet made official decisions as whether to stay or leave the show. |

‘Invincible Youth 2′ reveals new G6 family photo
The first recording of the brand new ‘Invincible Youth 2‘ took place recently with returning host, Kim Shin Young, pictured in their new family photo.
The program’s PD, Kim Ho Sang wrote on his Twitter on April 4th, “The first recording of the new ‘Invincible Youth 2′. Kim Shin Young, Boom and G6 posing, fighting.”
He also uploaded a group photo which shows the girls and Boom in silly poses. Boom was particulary envied by male fans for being able to be so close with the girls.
Netizens commented, “They all look so natural, doesn’t feel like anything has changed,” “It sure looks like it’s going to be very interesting in future,” and “Really looking forward to seeing Kim Shin Young.”
‘Invincible Youth 2′ recently went through a revamp with a new timeslot of 5:15PM (KST) every Saturday and also bid farewell to cast members, Lee Soo Geun, Ji Hyun Woo, Amber and Go Woori. Kim Shin Young was added as the new host and will continue the show with Boom and the existing G6 members (Hyoyeon, Sunny, Kim Yewon, Kang Jiyoung, Suzy, and Bora)
The final episode with Lee Soo Geun, Ji Hyun Woo, Amber, and Go Woori will air on April 7th.

Goodbye on ‘Invincible Youth 2′, tearful Go Woori & calm Lee Soo Geun and Amber

At the end of the program, Lee Soo Geun said, “Today is the last day for Ji Hyun Woo” relaying the news. Ji Hyun Woo explained trying to put a smile on his face, “I am sad to leave due to schedules since I am just starting to get attached. But if time allows, I will come visit.”
Then Boom continued, “Let’s give a round of applause to Lee Soo Geun who has been leading us well till now”, letting everyone know that this was the last episode for Lee Soo Geun as well. Lee Soo Geun thanked the G8 members saying, “We have been together for 5 months and I thank you for following me even though I may be lacking.”
Amber, who is leaving the show due to schedule issues shared, “I met good people and felt good that I was learning about Korea. I think I will be even happier living in Korea.”
However, Go Woori, who is leaving the show due to her appearance on a sitcom, finally broke into tears saying, “It’s been so fun but I am sad.” Go Woori barely added, “I am leaving for the improvement of Rainbow, so please root for me.”
As Go Woori showed tears, Bora got a little teary too but all of them got it together to end the show looking bright and wonderful as always.
