Supernova’s Sung Je & KARA’s Jiyoung collaborate for Christmas carol duet

As reported yesterday, Supernova and KARA’s Jiyoung will be releasing a new single on December 16th, and additional details have been revealed today!
Supernova’s agency, Maru Entertainment, stated, “On the 16th, Sung Jae and Kang Jiyoung will reveal their duet track, ‘Merry Love.” The track was reportedly produced by composer Park Geun Tae.
The two groups have been busy promoting in Japan, both ranking on Japan’s Oricon Singles chart and achieving a high level of success.
The two members added, “We wanted to prepare a special year-end present for our fans. Through this unique opportunity, we’d like to spread the potential of K-POP.”
There’s no official word yet regarding plans of promoting on Korean music shows, as Supernova will be heading back to Japan on the 21st for their individual concert.
Supernova’s Kwangsu celebrates 20k followers with special Twitter event
Supernova’s Kwangsu recently kicked off a personal event on his Twitter in celebration of reaching 20,000 followers.
The event started on December 11th with this introductory tweet, “I’m opening a Jude Law event for reaching 20,000 followers! I’m going to pick a champion from each country! ^^ Please participate! It will be until this Sunday^^”
The ‘Jude Law’ event asked his followers to send in their best Jude Law impersonation-poses, as Kwangsu is known to be a huge fan of the actor’s. Kwangsu personally went through all of the submissions and picked 20 of the best – he revealed his top 20 winners today. The winners received a hand-written letter and autograph, all of which can be seen on his Twitter
Hilariously, singer Hwang Bo also participated in the event and was chosen as the winner for Korea.
Aside from Korea, Kwangsu received submissions from the Philippines, Japan, Finland, Vietnam, Indonesia, Sweden, Thailand, Germany, America, Canada, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Taiwan, Guatemala, Singapore, Australia, and Mexico, demonstrating the group’s worldwide popularity.
