secara ikhlas aku memang tak suke hiphop!

Tuan janggoat.. I remember people use to say that about rock music and metal music.  People kept saying that metal music was not music.. that it was just noise.. and more noise. People use to complain that metal musicians had no talent and can only strum 1 or 2 strings continuously to make noise.  That is what people use to say and what some people are still saying about rock and metal music.  Which is why I said earlier that ones music is another person's noise.

Music has some sort of 'melody' and rapping certainly has a 'melody' to it.  You might disagree but then it is a matter of perception.  Nasheed pun, (the one that is considered halal 100%) does not have any music at all but just people talking in a melodic way.  But it is still considered 'music'.

:setuju: Media is partly to blame BUT tak kan lah the people who read the stuff can't think for themselves and see hey there is something wrong with this accusation.

Personally to me, rock music in Msia has not moved much since the late 80's and early 90's.  Contohnya.. if there is any concert where all the Msia rock legends are allowed to go on stage.. the songs sang are always the old ones... hardly any new ones out.  Why is that?

As for hip hop music in this Msia... honestly.... they have a long long way to go.  If hip hop music continues the way it does in this country and no changes or movements to understand and learn what is real hip hop then alamat, the hip hop industry in this country is not going anywhere.
