R.I.P. Xu Wei Lun
Weilun passed away approxmiately 2 days after she was admitted into the hospital.
She was in a stage 3 coma, which is the most severe stage. Intially her friends and parents though she would still have a chance because everytime one of Weilun's friends called her name, Weilun's blood pressure would increase and beads of tears formed in her eyes.
Weilun was not reacting to any physical stimuli, but whenever her friends and parents called out "lun lun", tears formed and were seen trickling down her cheeks. Her parents and friends took turns talking to her, trying to keep her alive.
However, unfortunately she was not able to pull through. As she was dying her mom and family members called "Lun Lun" very loudly in hopes to get her back. However, her only response were tears that streamed down her face. She passed away at 7:37.

Chinese actresses Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li were included on the Top 99 World Desirable Women List compiled by website AskMen.com. Chinese-American actress Lucy Liu was also included in the list.
Gong Li, 34th on the list, was lauded by the website as one of China's most famous and celebrated actresses. Her films include "Farewell My Concubine" (1993), "Chinese Box" (1997) and The Emperor and the Assassin (1999), which happened to be the most expensive movie made in Chinese film history at the time.
In 2006, this Asian beauty starred opposite Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx in the film adaptation of the hit television series "Miami Vice." Gong Li's subdued elegance and temperament proved it isn't necessary to succumb to a Sunset Strip wardrobe, a la Pamela Anderson, in order to exude sex appeal.
Zhang Ziyi's ranking slid to 83 from last year's 80. However, the website says it still shows its high recognition of the Chinese actress. They also highly praised Zhang's performance in the movie "The Banquet."
American-born Chinese actress Lucy Liu's ranking rose from last year's 93 to 47. The website describes Lucy Liu as "combining the mysteries of the Orient with the sexy elegance of the Western lady, sending our heads spinning halfway around the globe with a single piercing look."
Singer-cum-actress Beyonce Knowles was named the world's most desirable woman this year.
The final result of the annual most desirable women list were determined by votes according to such criteria as charisma, intelligence, humor, self-sufficiency, and physical appeal.
There are three categories for votes: actresses, models and singers. Women are rated from 1 to 10 on the above criteria.

Xu Wei Lun "Daughter of the Sun" - Penny Lin Continues Acting, Pressure Very Big

Chinese TV 8pm drama "Daughter of the Sun" finally decided that Xu Wei Lun's good friend Penny Lin will continue the drama as the lead female "Si Jia". Penny today first went to the meet up with the Chinese TV president Xiao Ye, then she went to prepare for the fifth with Yi Nan to New Zealand to film for some scenery shots. Director and producer Wang Zhong Guang expressed that after Xu Wei Lun passed away, there were many lead female replacements listed online. When talking about Wei Lun's old character, she said that Wei Lun was too good. Jerry overturns in 3 days, and steps on handsome Bei at the World Star King

After nearly a month-long of text and internet voting, Sina Mainland China reported yesterday its first "Chinese World Star King" poll results, where Jerry Yan narrowly won the second placer against Bei Yong Jun (handsome Bei). The handsome Bei got the season's third placer, and following from his winning at the Shanghai's Dong Fang TV Voting last year was Ma Tian Yu in first place.

This Mainland China poll voting got close to a total of 3 million SMS and internet votes. Jerry emerged as a dark horse, who didn't even land a third place during the first three days of the voting until the voting deadline. However, during the final several days, fans' SMS votes blew up in number, finally getting 70% of the total votes, that lead him to win over the then second placer handsome Bei. In addition, Jerry also won the first place for "Taiwan Star King" title, "Hong Kong-Taiwan Star King" crown and four other categories.
Wu Zun and ZaiZai only got few votes
From the start, Bei Yong Joon had continously been at the top lead for internet voting that is why he also got the title for "Korean Star King", "World Internet Star King" and some more other titles. Too bad he was still no match against Ma Tian Yu and Jerry Yan in the World Star King Ranking. In behalf of Jerry, his operations manager Fenny thanked the fans who joined the poll voting. When Jerry knew that the poll voting was composed of international stars, he felt especially happy. In this voting, some interesting facts were observed - Singing Groups didn't fare well as those of individual stars like May Day, Twins, SHE who didn't even land in the top 100. Instead, Wu Zun of Fahrenheit and Vic Zhou of F4 landed at the top 50. Da S was no different and only landed in Top 25, while on the 37th and 38th place were Jay Chou and Rain respectively.

"Sorry girls, I'm too busy for love", Former F4 singer wants to earn money to take care of family first

LOVE has no place in Vanness Wu's life right now. 'I hang out with friends, both guys and girls, but I make it a point to not focus my energies on relationships,' the US-born singer-actor said over the phone.
'I have to take care of my family and work, so even if I meet girls I'm interested in or fond of, I won't pursue them. I will just keep them as platonic friends.'
The former member of Taiwanese boy band F4, who ended a two-year relationship with Taiwanese singer Vivian Hsu in 2005, has big career plans lined up this year.
Vanness, who was in three gigs in Tokyo last July, will hold a solo concert in Genting Highlands on March 3.
Speaking from Malaysia's casino resort last week, the friendly singer said his show will be a 'big party' filled with 'energy and fun'.
When asked about recent media reports suggesting an F4 reunion drama and a China serial co-starring Korean actress Park Ji Yoon, the 29-year-old singer said that nothing was confirmed yet.
What's certain is that he has finished his long-awaited second solo album, set for release thisyear.
His debut R&B album, Body Will Sing, was released in 2002. Last year, he released Scandal, a Mandarin-English-Korean collaboration with K-pop star Kangta.
Vanness said his new album is like a music diary of his life.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, he moved to Taipei to make his acting debut in the popular drama Meteor Garden in 2001. After that, he pursued a solo career in singing and appeared in movies like Star Runner, Dragon Squad.

He is the executive producer for the album, in which he teams up with Machi member Nicky Lee, whom he describes as a 'great friend'. Nicky will be his guest star at the Malaysian concert.
Vanness hopes to visit Singapore to promote his new album and to meet his faithful fans again. He was last here in 2003. Vanness said that his Singapore fans have been asking when he will visit, but his work schedule has kept him away.
He joked: 'I blame my company. Please don't hate me. I'll be there soon.'
After his Genting concert, Vanness will work on his two movie roles, one of which is a cameo that he hopes will let him show off some of the Shaolin gongfu skills he mastered in 2004.
The other role is in a comedy action film written by his buddy Jimmy Hung, the son of Hong Kong action star Sammo Hung.
'I'm going to act in it and (Jimmy) can direct it. He's got great vision. Sammo can act in it too.'
When it comes to collaborations, Vanness dreams of uniting Asian musicians to take on the world.
He did the duet Hip Hop Tonight with Hong Kong-born songbird Coco Lee last year and said he would like to work with Japan's Ayumi Hamasaki and Korea's BoA and Lee Hyo Lee.
'It's not about the Korean Wave or the Taiwan Wave, it's about coming together and representing Asia as awhole,' he said.
His goal: To provide for his family in Los Angeles - his parents, two older sisters, older stepbrother, younger half-brother and two younger half-sisters.
Vanness, who spent Christmas with them last year, said: 'I want to take care of them (and) let them live more comfortably.'

Chinese Super Girl Zhang Liangying joined the first day of recording for the song "Give Your Love" for World Peace One (WP1) Tuesday in the United States.
World Peace One has invited big names, like U2, Madonna, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and Green Day, to come together and sing the song as a call for world peace.
Zhang Liangying is the only Asian female singer that has been invited to participate.
Zhang met and talked with one of her favorite American musicians, Brian McKnight, after the first day of recording in Los Angeles.
After the song is completed, a concert entitled "A Call for an End to War" will take place on August 11 in the United States, featuring an unprecedented lineup of world-class performers from every corner of the globe. It will reach a 3.5 billion-strong audience across 180 countries via television, radio, the internet and streaming cell phones.
Zhang Liangying will perform at the concert.
World Peace One is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 2006 to assist, progress, and preserve the emerging world community towards a state of peace, abundance, and prosperity.

Jay Chow Directs His First Movie

Taiwan pop idol Jay Chow has kicked off shooting his first movie "Secret Could Not Tell" in Taiwan.
The crew picked some scenes in Tamkang Middle School on Wednesday, where Jay used to attend as a student.
Jay denied the movie is based on his own true first love story, describing it as a story more lovely than his own. He added, "In this movie, I hope people could cherish what we have around us, including relationship and family."
As a new director, the 28-year-old super star admitted that he felt more pressure than ever. He said that the most difficult thing for him is that time is not enough, because he has a lot to learn and to consider in a very limited time of shooting. The star is also the lead actor in the movie.
Jay explained that he chose Taiwan actress Guey Lun-mei to star as the lead actress because her appearance and character perfectly matched her student-lover character.
Veteran Hong Kong actor Anthony Wong has also been invited to cooperate with Jay in this movie. Their last cooperation - starring as a father and a son in the car-drift movie "Initial D" was widely applauded.

All of them have the potential to become the number 1 Fa Dan in TVB. As such, a survey was carried out to ask 50 ppl to choose the one whom they think will become the "Yat Jie" number 1 Fa Dan in TVB.
The result was out and 36% choose Bernice because they think that she got the sexyness but she doesn't make use of rumours to promote herself which keeps her image well. Plus, she can dance and sing well and also has the potential to become a female fighter. On the whole, she is talented.
The second one would be shirley yeung who has 24% of the votes as she's "obedient" and she portrays her evil character in the Brink of law well, plus, she's thrifty ever since she entered the entertainment industry.

Ariel Lin, starts new drama filming in May

Legend of the Condor Heroes,' which suspended filming due to the injury of the main actor, will start filming again in May. However, as Ariel Lin will be filming 'It Started with a Kiss 2' starting in March, a schedule adjustment is will most likely be necessary.
The 'Legend of the Condor Heroes' team had to suspend further filming due to Hu Ge's injury from an accident. The producer flew directly to Hong Kong to meet with the scriptwriter, and negotiated to extend their contract for another year after receiving understanding of the situation. Amongst such incidents, as Hu Ge expressed a will to return after recovery, the May schedule was set.
Ariel Lin's agency commented that it would be ideal to start the filming of 'Legend of the Condor Heroes' once 'It Started with a Kiss 2' ends, but as her will to perform in a historical drama is great, she will not step down from the role. However, as it is unlikely that the filming of 'It Started with a Kiss 2' will end within two months, the producer is currently busy rearranging everyone's schedules.

Jessica and Joe are the Latest Attraction

After a few days rest over the Chinese New Year, Jessica Hsuan and Joe Ma were filming at the carnival for "The Drive of Life" yesterday in a scene where Joe declares his love on the big wheel. However, when they arrived, they were quickly surrounded by the tourists and visitors who asked for photos with them, turning them into the latest attraction at the fair!
Joe took his son to the carnival earlier with some friends and their children, but when Joe arrived, he was quickly surrounded by fans and in order for his friends and son to have a good time, he stayed outside the park to deal with the fans and waited for the others. When he was in France earlier, he took his wife and son to a theme park there and won lots of toys for his son, because playing the shooting games is his strength [Joe used to be a police officer]. As for declaring his love on the big wheel, Joe says that this is a popular place for lovers because it is very romantic.
Jessica laughs: "Although I am grown up now, but I can still withstand the excitement [of the rides]. I have just eaten, so I asked the director to film the big wheel scenes first and only go on the more exciting rides when I have digested the food, so I don't make myself sick."
Jessica spent the new year playing Mah Jong with her parents and although she lost money to them, she still had a great time. However, the happiest thing was that her fourteen year old dog could be with her, because she loves her pet the most, but he is suffering from illness and may have to be put down soon. Although she will miss him, there is nothing she can do and she hopes that he can pass away peacefully in his sleep, without any pain.

Stefanie Sun Gets Extorted in Egypt

Singaporean singer Stefanie Sun has returned from Cairo where she and her team were extorted by suspected local gangsters.
Sun was in Egypt to shoot a music video for her new album. Two men disguised as government officials kept following her and the crew and asked for money--at one point even showing a gun.
The crew tried calling the police, only for the two crooks to dismiss them with just a few words. The crew had to hand over a total of over 200,000 yuan in order to continue shooting.
The extortion went on for four days. Finally, Sun and her team were able to leave the country with the help of the Singaporean embassy.
Upon returning home, the singer said nothing except that she's tired and needs some rest.

Wu Vows 'em despite a bad leg

GENTING HIGHLANDS: It takes more than an injured leg to keep a real star down, as Taiwanese heartthrob Vanness Wu proved at the Arena of Stars here on Saturday night.
The singer, who performed with the help of a cane after hurting his right leg in a fall during rehersal earlier in the day, still managed to put on an entertaining show.
Almost 2,000 fans turned up to see their idol in action, including a good number from foreign countries like Japan, South Korea, Thailand and the Philippines.
"I apologise to all of you because I am not at 100%, but I want to put on a good show, anyway," said the American-born singer at the start of the concert.
The 29-year-old Wu was in fine form throughout the two-hour concert, performing a good vareity of songs ranging from hits like I Hate Myself, My Body Can Sing and Thinking Ten Of You, to covers of rock songs by Green Day and Queen.
The cane did not seem to hamper him at all, instead he used it to good effect during his elaborate and well-chereographed dance sequences.
Wu is also a member of popular Taiwanese boyband F4, one of the most popular pop groups in Asia in recent years, thanks to the enormous success of their Tv series Meteor Garden.

Jay Chou's Costumes Auctioned for Charity

Pop singer Jay Chou has auctioned on the web two precious costumes he once worn in shooting blockbuster film "Curse of the Golden Flower" for 260,000 yuan, or about 33,600 dollars. The auctioned mount will be donated to China's Red Cross for charity purposes.
According to Star Daily reports, the auction, co-sponsored by Beijing New Picture Film Co. and Paipai.com, ended with one of two costumes bid by 150,000 yuan or 19,000 dollars, and another by 114,000 yuan or 14,000 dollars. The costumes' buyer is a museum under Metersbonwe, a renowned costume company from Shanghai. Jay Chou has been a fashion spokesperson for that costume company.
The Chinese blockbuster film "Curse of the Golden Flower", directed by famous Chinese director Zhanf Yimou, was nominated for best costume design at the recent 79th Oscars.
