the fact you should know is Malaysia is a member of United Nations. As such Malaysia must follow article 18 of declaration of human rights.

:setuju:   They should be thankful that in Malaysia where the official religion is Islam, nobody stops them from going in and out of their  "buildings"

I stand to be corrected. Islam is the official relgion of the Malaysia but not its people. The people of Malaysia are multirace and multi relgious. For Muslims it is improtant to follow otherwise would be charged in the syaria courts. For non Muslims they can either follow their own religion as it deem fit or be a free thinker. This is accorded in the FC and now it has become a test case for Lina Joy who forty-two years ago, a baby girl was born and named Azlina Jailani by her Malay parents. The girl was brought up as a Muslim but at the age of 26 she decided to become a Christian.

She is now appealing against NRD's ruling by refusing to remove the world Islam from her KP. The Charter of the United Nations, which according to its Article 103, is supreme over all other international treaties, states in Article 1 that a purpose of the United Nations is the promotion of and respect for human rights. U.N. Charter art.s 1, 103. Article 56 expressly states that all member states 損ledge themselves to take joint and separate action in co-operation with the Organization for the achievement of the purposes set forth in Article 55,

Dear Sephiroth.....have you resorted to name calling now ? I have my name there  but if you think that by calling names you are showing people how tolerant you are....by all means be it. Thats human rights. As a human it is his/her prerogative to chose what ever crap he/she wants to believe in. Its not the right of another person to force his/her stupid religion on others.

Nobody is forcing you FaithHealer....you can believe in whatever you want to believe in.  For me the Azan is a calling for the muslims to pray, it's loud because it is in the mosque and like I said....it is a calling for the muslims in the surrounding area to pray or to come to the mosque and pray....it is the time to pray.

Its the same like on certain days.....the churches rings the bell. How I see it...with all the noise around i.e. rock music, azan, church bells......if you want your peaceful serenity...you will find it regardless of the noise. You will find it when you close your eyes and relax.....you will find it deep within.

There's beauty in everything....even when the church bells toils/ring, even during the Azan....there's always beauty.

In muslim majority areas its even worse.. one mosque/ponduk surau after another will blast their loud speaker trying to out do each other with their idiotic Azan calls. Pure noise pollution.

There will be beauty in the Azan at least if it was read by sweet female voice.. but what we get is crocky frogs trying to read.

People have tried. Muslims are not bothered with the feelings of non-muslims.

If the authorities have brains in their head and not in their bottom, they would have realised the noise pollution caused by the Azan.

untuk makluman encik Atheist yg sangat2 bijaksana:
- ini negara Malaysia
- Islam agama rasmi
- azan tu ditujukan untuk orang2 Muslim

kalau lar loud speaker tu tak pernah dicipta..aku gerenti persoalan yg sama akan ditimbulkan oleh orang2 bukan Islam dan tak beragama cam ko nih.. :nerd:
mungkin lebih parah lagek gelaran yg korang2 akan berikan kat orang Islam yg sedang azan..
- orang sakit mental
- tarzan
- dan bermacam gelaran yg indah2 dari korang
