aku dah guna beberapa wireless routers.. tapi aku masih suka linksys WRT54G... router ni senang nak configure.. nak open port untuk torrent pun very straighforward..nak configure wireless network key pun senang and reception dia quite decent.. sekarang ni router aku dah disambungkan pada gigabit switch.. Everything runs beautifully.. Harga dia skrg ni around RM200..(last i nampak kat cycom lowyat) |

nak tambah sikit....sekiranya jarak antara tm exchange ke last point tu melebihi 5 km ini mungkin juga berlakunya dc. faktor seperti signal to noise ratio dan line attenuation juga memainkan peranan. cuba lihat di bawah ni. tapi sebelum tu cuba check adsl status. saya kurang pasti apa ip yang nak di牋akses untuk shiela punya modem. saya punya 192.168.1.1<br />

Relative strength of the DSL signal to Noise ratio. 6dB is the lowest dB manufactures specify for modem to be able to synch. In some instances interleaving* can help raise the noise margin to an acceptable level. The higher the number the better for this measurement.<br />
> 6dB or below is bad and will experience no synch or intermittent synch problems<br />
> 7dB-10dB is fair but does not leave much room for variances in conditions<br />
> 11dB-20dB is good with no synch problems<br />
> 20dB-28dB is excellent<br />
> 29dB or above is outstanding<br />

Line Attenuation<br />
Measure of how much the signal has degraded between the DSLAM and the modem. Maximum signal loss recommendation is usually about 60dB. The lower the dB the better for this measurement.<br />

> 20dB-30dB is excellent<br />
> 30dB-40dB is very good<br />
> 40dB-50dB is good<br />
> 50dB-60dB is poor and may experience connectivity issues<br />

aku pakai modem stended TM ZTE tu..
ke desktop tak nak wireless, ni utk notebook je..
apa recommended wireless router yg murah/secure/..
kalo leh kasi setup dia sekali lagi best..

default ip untuk belkin router tu biasanya 192.168.2.1 and no password (blank). kalau ada wpa or wpa-psk, select that. use aes as encryption technique. if not, then go for wep. wpa is much more secure than wep. wireless mode, select 11g aje, unless you still have card using 11b. if you select 11b/11g, it will degrade the performance a little bit (unless you have no other option)..
aku try set 11g aja kat belkin ni, tapi winxp aje boleh detect. Vista wont detect any wireless network available. Tapi bila set both 11b/11g, baru Vista dpt detect, eventhough vista connected to 11g. Heran gak sebab vista should be more advance than XP |

pakai belkin aja. so far so good. Takpayah nak setting apa2, just follow step by step, easy setup wizard aja. Xyah nk susah2 configure all those creepy wireless setting.

may be 11g for your belkin is not fully compatible with vista (have you checked info related to vista regarding your router and/or your wireless trasmitter?). so, ia mabuk sikit and use 11b instead. keep in mind, vista is new but most equipments are still not certified to work with vista yet. so, it's 50-50 - trial and error.

Belkin isnt connected to Vista machine. Belkin only connected to XP machine that connected to internet. Vista macine is just using wireless network transmitted by XP belkin router.燞owever,燾onnection爋f爒ista爄s燼t |
