Menurut pilot MAS yg sering terbang ke Bali, landasan nya panjang, jadi kemungkinan pilot tu coming down at very high speed sehinggakan tak sempat nak brake. Betul ka boleh jadi macam ni?

The list of air carriers banned in the European Union is a blacklist which includes airlines from countries with safety concerns due to alleged poor maintenance and regulatory oversight standards on the part of the EU, preventing them from entering the airspace of any member state. The first version of the list was published in 2006, on the legal basis of the Regulation No. 474/2006 of the European Commission, issued on 22 March of that year.
The current version of the list was published on 4 December 2012.[1]

LION AIR - Incidents and accidents
On 14 January 2002, Lion Air Flight 386, a Boeing 737-200 crashed on take-off and was written off; no one was killed.
On 30 November 2004, Lion Air Flight 538, a McDonnell Douglas MD-82, crashed in Surakarta, killing 25 people.[26]
On 4 March 2006, Lion Air Flight 8987, a McDonnell Douglas MD-82, crashed after landing at Juanda International Airport.[27] Reverse thrust was used during landing, although the left thrust reverser was stated to be out of service.[27] This caused the aircraft to veer to the right and skid off the runway, coming to rest about 7,000 feet (2,100 m) from the approach end of the runway.[27] No-one was killed but the aircraft was badly damaged.[27]
On 24 December 2006, Lion Air Flight 792, a Boeing 737-400, landed with an incorrect flap configuration and was not aligned with the runway.[28] The plane landed hard and skidded along the runway causing the right main landing gear to detach, the left gear to protrude through the wing and some of the aircraft fuselage to be wrinkled.[28] No one was killed and the aircraft was written off.[28]
On 2 November 2010, Lion Air Flight 712, a Boeing 737-400 (registration PK-LIQ) overran the runway on landing at Supadio Airport, Pontianak, coming to rest on its belly and sustaining damage to its nose gear. All 174 passengers and crew evacuated by the emergency slides, with few injuries reported.[29] |

Keluarga Penumpang: Sebelum Jatuh, Lion Air 3 Kali Rusak
Liputan6.com, Denpasar : Pesawat Lion Air JT 960 jurusan Bandung-Bali jatuh di Laut Bali, sebelum sempat mendarat di Bandara Ngurah Rai. Seluruh penumpang dan awak pesawat selamat, meski 15 diantaranya mengalami luka ringan.
Pemimpin Redaksi Jak TV Timbo Siahaan menyatakan, ada kerabatnya yang menjadi penumpang Lion Air tersebut. Tapi untuk penerbangan sebelumnya, dari Banjarmasin ke Bandung.
Menurutnya, sebelum terbang dari Bandung menuju Bali, pesawat Lion Air itu melaju dari Banjarmasin ke Bandung. Baru setelah itu, pesawat terbang dari Bandung ke Bali.
"Sdr sy & romb td naik pswt Lion Air yg jtuh di Bali itu dr Bnjrmasin menu7 Bdg. Sblumnya pswt itu 3x rusak & pnumpg bolak-lik disuruh turun," kicau Timbo lewat akun pribadinya, @timbosiahaan, Sabtu (13/4/2013).
(Saudara saya dan rombongan tadi naik pesawat Lion Air yang jatuh di Bali itu dari Bnjrmasin menuju Bandung. Sebelumnya, pesawat itu 3x rusak dan penumpang bolak-balik disuruh turun).
Saat dikonfirmasi, Timbo membenarkan kicauannya tersebut. Menurutnya, saudara yang menjadi penumpang pesawat Lion Air itu adalah Kepala Cabang BRI Tenggarong Roland Hutagalung.
"Namanya Pak Roland Hutagalung. Dia Kepala Cabang BRI Tenggarong," kata Timbo saat dihubungi Liputan6.com di Jakarta. (Riz)

mungkin masa nak landing glide slope terlampau tinggi (HD), landing speed terlampau deras, touchdown terlampau jauh dari sepatutnya sampai tidak sempat apply brek walaupun runway panjang. atau autobrake tak berfungsi samada pilot lupa nak nak on standby autobrake.
