Wireless Router yg bagus?

cadang mau amik Belkin tu je.. tgk takumi beli macam best je?

erk, memula ko kena jadikan ZTE punya router tu aktif.
pastu belkin tu nnt ko cuma setkan "use as Access Point" dan setkan network security.

soalnye, ko dh tau ke cemana nk jadikan ZTE tu router? rasanya dah ada tutorial pasal ni, nnt aku jumpa aku paste kat sini.

aiseh..gagal laa nak setup..
masalah nyer PC aku takleh nak ping belkin wifi router ni which is 192.168.2.1
agak weird kan?.
tapi kalau ping modem ZTE ni (192.168.1.1) ni ok lak.
dulu mula2 setting tu ok, tapi now ni pakai setup wizard dia pon tak leh detect belkin router ni.. apoo laa tak konoo nyer nii...

aku nak buat setting dial internet connection dari belkin router ni.
sebab streamyx aku bukan unlimited daaa...

any idea?..

ko set auto IP ke? cuba ko setkan IP adress manually.

before you use belkin wireless, use ethernet connection first. ping belkin router from your pc. if doesn't work, hard reset the router:

-> disconnect all connections (including power adapter), press the reset button (hold for about 10 seconds). while pressing the reset button, connect the power supply and then release the reset button. now, all settings will be reset to default.

login to your belkin router and start configure it. set it as access point. assign an ip address to it (if your modem/router LAN ip is 10.10.10.1 - turn dhcp on -, then set your belkin ip to 10.10.10.2). enter your modem/router LAN ip as belkin gateway. finish the rest of the setup and see if you can get to the internet while physically connected to your belkin. if successful, proceed with the wireless connection.

but just want to double check,

let say ADSL modem ip = A, wifi belkin ip = B
so on my PC, (ipconfig /all) is it correct all below particular
default gateway,
dhcp server,
dns server
ip become = A

therefore, --> 192.168.2.1 tak leh ping...

hehee.. sorry laa bzzts kalau buat things more complicated..

setiap device yang connect to the network, mesti ada ip address. kalau tak de, tak boleh browser the network because of no identification to send the packets back. so, the dsl modem mesti ada ip address tu, especially for the wan, or you won't be able to surf the internet.

ok, here's the thing:

1. before you bought belkin router, you're able to connect to the internet by directly connecting your computer to adsl modem/router, correct? if so, then go to #2.
2. if #1 above is correct, then your adsl modem/router has already had an ip address. leave it the way it is. what you need to do is, go to the page to setup your LAN.
3. in the LAN page, give an ip address (this will be internal ip address) - eg.: 192.168.1.1. If if already assigned an ip address, jot that down as this will be the gateway of your belkin router (if you need it later.
4. turn on dhcp server service on your adsl modem/router. this will allow your adsl modem/router to become dhcp server for your LAN devices - it will automatically assign ip address and all that related stuffs to your computers without you having to configure it manually.
5. dns server, leave it empty.
6. save and logout.

go to your belkin router:
1. login to your belkin router and configure it as an access point.
2. enter ip address of your belkin, should be 192.168.1.x (x can be anything from 2-254 - 1 is not available as it's already taken by your adsl modem/router). assign subnet mask - usually 255.255.255.0. assign gateway (if it asked) ip address - should 192.168.1.1 (internal ip address of your adsl modem/router).
3. save and logout.

- now, try physically connect your computer to your belkin router.
- check if your computer has been assigned an ip address (from 2-254, excluding your belkin ip address) - type "ipconfig /all" in dos prompt (no quotations).
- check if it assigned a correct gateway (your adsl modem/router ip address), a correct dhcp server (your adsl modem/router ip address) and a correct dns servers (your isp dns servers - delegated automatically from your adsl modem/router)
- ping your belkin router.
- ping your adsl modem/router.
- now surf the internet.

sebab tu wifi router tolong dial kan.

**WAN yg aku mention tu ialah WAN pada wifi router.

now i able to use my belkin wifi router edi..
the point here, need to reset the router due to  i'd made wrong configuration in the 1st place... hehee..

ehh.. pelik laa pulak.. b4 ni kat laptop ni ada tab "wireless network" ni..
setting nyer setting.. tetiba hilang lak.. then dia ada suruh check WZC, any idea?
