This is my take on Episode 4. Some posters in this forum has said that the drama is to be divided into three parts. This seems to be true, with 4 episodes for each part. So Part 1 is the present, Part 2 the past or in this case the beginning of the story, and Part 3 will be the future.
The ending for the three characters is necessary to bring them forward to Part 2. As you can see from the preview, it looks like Jae Min and Shi Hoo are related, possibly half-brothers, and they are from the elite class (yangban). Jae Min is an intellectual; Shi Hoo masquerades as a fighter at night. Mar Ri is from the lower class. It looks like she works as a maid and is also a vampire, which means she had been a vampire from the beginning. Part 2 will then take us (just my POV) into their lives in the Joseon era, in the period when they was a clash between humans and vampires and the eventual agreement or toleration/protection - it could be because the vampires helped the yangban or whatever. We just have to wait and see what will happen in Part 2, then look forward to Part 3, which could mean, that like the Orange Marmalade, the humans and vampires could happily co-exist.
I expect that the writer/s would explain in Part 2 if Shi Hoo is a vampire from the beginning or was infected.
Hope this helps those who seemed confused. |
