Hi!!

Congrats FED sbb kalahkan TSONGA...6-3, 6-7(6), 6-3

Btw, I saw this banner reads "If Tennis is a Religion, Roger Federer is its God" at the recent match where he defeated Rafael Nadal 6-3, 6-0. Huhuhu....

;)

ANyway, bak kata Federer:
""Novak was the player of the year, which goes without saying," reflected Federer. "A guy who can win 40 matches in a row from the start of the season completely deserves it till the very end of it. I thought Andy Murray played a very good season this year. I think he's going to be very tough to beat next year. And Rafa with his class, he's always going to be a threat for the throne, to win all the big tournaments.

"I think the prospects are good. We also saw Nos. 5 to 8 are extremely close as well. Behind that, anything is possible, too. I think right now we have great quality within the Top 10, even within the Top 20, 25 actually. I'm looking forward to a tough season next year.""

he din underestimate those top 25 male players...huhu.

Resurgent Federer still hungry for major titles
Posted: 2010 GMT

Roger Federer won a record sixth ATP World Tour Finals title in London.
Think Roger Federer's chances of winning another major title are over? Think again!

The 30-year-old father of two looks ready and raring to go after a fine finish to the 2011 season.

While his main rivals, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, whimpered out of the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London, the Swiss maestro sauntered through his round-robin group, beating Nadal 6-3 6-0 en route, before taking out Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final for the third time in two weeks.

The Frenchman was the only one to really give Federer a run for his money.

Despite his 17-match winning streak to end the season, which saw him lift the Basel Indoors title and the Paris Masters, this is still not the Federer of old – the one that won three major titles in a season in 2004, 2006 and 2007.

He's close though and his dream of winning gold at next year's London Olympics could well come true.

His body will hold up, as it has done throughout a history-making career that has seen him lift 16 grand slam titles, but the question is, can he come through the mental challenge?

He lost his way a few times this year, most notably when he dropped a two-set lead to lose to Tsonga in the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, and then did the same against Novak Djokovic in the U.S. Open semifinals.

On both occasions he looked uncertain and worried, instead of at ease and in control. It wasn't the Federer we're used to seeing.

Under the roof in Basel, Paris and London though, Federer resonated confidence and showed he is still the best indoor player in the world – his topspin backhand was working wonderfully, when sometimes it breaks down.

Outside, open to the elements, it will be harder for him to dominate. His opponents have worked out how to make life uncomfortable for him by bulldozing the backhand to open up the forehand.

And so, while winning multiple majors in 2012 is unlikely, my guess is he'll win one and maybe clinch the title he perhaps wants most of all – singles gold at the Olympics.

If that were to happen, my guess is he'd put all his efforts into winning the Davis Cup and then call it a career. There would be nothing left to do!

Federer sets sights on Olympic gold after landmark London victoryNovember 28, 2011 -- Updated 2020 GMT (0420 HKT)

Roger Federer targets an Olympic gold medal in 2012 after his London victory
World number three won the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals Sunday
Federer's win over Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was his 70th career title and his 100th final
He says he'll return from the off season determined to win gold at Wimbledon in 2012
(CNN) -- Roger Federer wants to add an Olympic singles gold medal to his list of achievements in tennis after securing his 70th career title at the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

The world number three defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Sunday in what was a record sixth victory at the season-ending event.

Federer's triumph secured his 70th career title in his 100th final, a landmark to make up for the fact that he failed to win a grand slam in a season for the first time since 2002.

But the 30-year-old has vowed to come back stronger next year as he bids for a gold medal in the men's singles at the London 2012 Olympics, to go with the one he won in the doubles at Beijing in 2008.

If any extra incentive were needed, it will be held at Wimbledon -- which Federer calls 'my club' -- a place where he has won six times.

Federer sets tournament record by winning 100th final

Milos Raonic talks tennis He told CNN World Sport: "That's why I took some time off before Fall in the hope that I'm going to be more energized and more fresh when the Olympics come around next year.

"We're going to be as well prepared as we can be because we've had some tough Olympic Games on the other side of the planet whereas this time around we'll be playing at Wimbledon.

"It's a very special occasion for the top players, and for all of us to experience that in our lifetime is going to be fantastic. I'm looking forward to it, playing at 'my' club, hopefully winning Olympic gold. We'll see what happens but I'm excited already."

Federer was eclipsed for most of the year by Serbian Novak Djokovic, who went on a incredible 43-match unbeaten run, and secured the Australian Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open crowns.

The Swiss did make the final at the French Open, only to be beaten in four sets by Rafael Nadal, and also suffered a heartbreaking defeat in the semifinals at Flushing Meadows in New York, squandering two match points against Djokovic before losing in five sets.

But he put together a strong finish to the 2011 campaign, winning titles in Paris and Basel, before his triumph in London.

"This is what champions are made of," he told CNN World Sport anchor Alex Thomas. "After a big loss, if you are able to come back and prove to yourself that losses do happen.

"Novak has had an amazing year and Rafa, we know how strong he was again on clay, so maybe for me there was not so much to win in a period when it was tough for me.

"That I have been able to save the best until last is amazing and to write history here in London, winning my sixth Tour Finals already, is a record which I'm very proud of."

Federer said his strong end of season form was a warning to his fellow players that he could begin the 2012 season with a bang.

"Of course I'm exhausted and I want to go on vacation but I am looking forward to next year because usually when I finish strongly I also start strongly again the following season.

"We're looking forward to a great season next year on the Tour -- its not going to get any easier, I know that, but it's nice to get these wins and all I want to do now is celebrate."

Joker Djokovic horrified by his lack of form after long layoff.

(CNN) -- He came out on court wearing a Halloween mask, but Novak Djokovic had to overcome a fright of his own before winning his comeback match in Switzerland on Tuesday.

The world No. 1, playing his first ATP Tour tournament since winning the U.S. Open six weeks ago, survived a second-set scare against Xavier Malisse before beating the Belgian 6-2 4-6 7-5 at the Swiss Indoors event.

Djokovic suffered a recurring back injury in Serbia's Davis Cup defeat by Argentina just days after beating Rafael Nadal in an epic final in New York.

He missed tournaments in Asia, including the Shanghai Masters, but has returned to action in Basel where he was champion in 2009 and runner-up to Roger Federer last year.

"I'm only just back from the biggest injury of my career," Djokovic said after extending his record this year to 65-3. "It was a big ask for me to have played really well.

I had too many errors and too many double-faults. But I'm happy just to be playing tennis again

Novak Djokovic"I could do nothing for four and a half weeks, I've only been hitting for a week and a half. That's not enough to play at my best. I've lost rhythm.

"I had too many errors and too many double-faults. But I'm happy just to be playing tennis again. I hope to build on this performance."

As top seed, he is in the opposite half of the draw from Federer and new world No. 3 Andy Murray, who could meet in the semis.

The 24-year-old will next play either Poland's world No. 59 Lukasz Kubot or 91st-ranked German Tobias Kamke, who both came through the qualifying draw.

Fifth seed Mardy Fish's hopes of qualifying for the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals suffered a blow when he was forced to retire with a hamstring injury against fellow American James Blake after winning the opening game.

Fish holds the last of the eight places on offer for the London showpiece but could be overhauled if he has to miss the penultimate tournament in Paris starting next week.

Blake will next play Kazakhstan's Mikhail Kukushkin, a lucky loser from qualifying who upset American wildcard Donald Young in his opening match.

Stanislas Wawrinka, a semifinalist in 2006 and the Swiss No. 2 behind Federer, beat Croatia's Ivan Dodig 6-4 6-4 to set up a match with either Murray or Dutchman Robin Haase, who meet on Wednesday.

Federer's next match is against Jarkko Nieminen, after the Finn beat Brazil's Thomaz Belluci 6-7(5-7) 6-4 6-3.

Tomas Berdych had the sixth finals place ahead of his clash with Japan's Kei Nishikori, but the Czech failed to earn any ranking points after losing 3-6 6-3 6-2.

Seventh-ranked Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga closed to within five points of Berdych by winning his opening match at the Valencia Open on Tuesday.

Tsonga had to battle before beating 19-year-old Spanish wildcard Javier Marti 4-6 7-5 6-2 to secure his 12th win in 14 matches and set up a second-round clash with American Sam Querrey -- who defeated Latvia's Ernests Gulbis 6-4 6-4.

Top seed David Ferrer is one of the five players already qualified for London, and he overcame fellow Spaniard Fernando Verdasco 6-3 6-2 in his opening match to set up a meeting with Canadian qualifier Vasek Pospisil.

French third seed Gael Monfils went through with a 6-3 6-1 win over Albert Montanes, but Ukrainian seventh seed Oleksandr Dolgopolov Jr. was eliminated by another Spaniard, Marcel Granollers.
