Part 11
Nadia put down her mobile and stared at the ceiling as she lay down on her mattress. Her eyes were still swelling from crying, tears of guilt; the tears started streaming once she heard her sweetheart抯 voice. It抯 been a month since Yeop had left the village and she had settled to her routine and everything went on well. She had become more and more attached to the children and the villagers and Yeop抯 parents had treated her like their own daughter. After over a year of losing her own parents, she felt happy having to be spoilt, especially by Ibu. There had been times when there抯 only the two of them sitting in the evenings, when Ibu poured out to her about her concern of Yeop.
