Yamapi, Keiko Kitagawa co-star in next "Getsu 9" drama
NEWS member Tomohisa Yamashita has the lead role in Fuji TV's upcoming Monday night drama series, tentatively titled "Buzzer Beat ~Gakeppuchi no Hero~." His female lead this time is actress Keiko Kitagawa, who graduated from Meiji University's School of Commerce one year after he did.
The love story has Yamashita playing a salaryman who belongs to his company's basketball team. Despite his appearance, he is completely weak under pressure when it comes to work and romance. Although he has a girlfriend (Saki Aibu), he falls in love with a spirited and cheerful woman who is unable to be straightforward (Kitagawa).
Shihori Kanjiya plays Kitagawa's friend, while Hideaki Ito serves as Yamashita's rival in love. Junpei Mizobata, Nobuaki Kaneko, Miki Maya, and Masaru Nagai are also part of the supporting cast.
Yamashita's only experience with basketball so far is in classes at school, so he is undergoing special training for two weeks. "Buzzer Beat" premieres in July.

today tokyo district was raining~
i used an umbrella.
but the wind kept blewing the rain in, from the open sides.
hate it~
yesterday i had meal with my co-stars from my upcoming drama, Ito Hideaki and Nagai Masaru!
people from physical education department
it felt as if we were holding a sports meeting.
and basketball player, Igarashi Kei joined us too!
it feels like i have increasingly deeply immerse myself into this drama!
therefore, an excellent piece of work will be created!

Oricon: men with beautiful skin
With demand for men's cosmetics and salons increasing, people are becoming more conscious of male beauty. As a result, Oricon surveyed 500 males ranging from their teens to their forties, creating a "men with beautiful skin" ranking.
Teppei Koike was ranked first with his white, smooth skin and envious looks. Actor and musician Masaharu Fukuyama followed Koike at second while Gackt took third place in the rankings.

[Guys are there to protect girls]
If a herbivore guy is someone who doesn’t have a relationship with a girl but can be in contact with her as if he was, then this doesn’t apply to me. Because, ever since I was small I’ve always been sternly taught that “Men have to protect women!” Things like “don’t bully weak people” or “You have to protect those weaker than you”, are things that I’ve learnt from my parents. That’s probably the most important thing so that’s probably why that’s the first think I learnt to keep in mind. I’ve always thought that I had to be the strong guy and that I’d, of course, have to protect girls. So I wonder if it would be better for a girl not to act too tough and to just depend on guys a bit more? Well, if you don’t have a person to protect you then probably better to be strong though (laugh).
