[by Chloe Yun] On April 24, world star Lee Byung hun attended ‘Cinematheque Sponsor Night,’ sponsored by Burberry Menswear, at Shinsegae department store, Seoul.
Established in 2002, Cinematheque is a nonprofit organization that supports the development of Korean independent films. Luxury fashion brand Burberry and ARENA has sponsored this organization for the last 2 years by filming and exhibiting pictorials with top celebrities.

Fans of the G.I. Joe franchise were likely pleased by the news that Paramount Pictures had decided to move forward with a third installment following G.I. Joe: Retaliation’s impressive $132 million worldwide box-office debut. Other than the studios reported determination to shoot G.I. Joe 3 in 3D, details about the film are, understandably, few.
We were able to chat with the G.I. Joe Retaliation screenwriters, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, recently and discovered that the pair are actively in the process of breaking the story for the third film. The Zombieland co-writers were looking at a wall of story ideas and notes for G.I. Joe 3 as we spoke. When asked what sorts of story ideas they were playing with, the scribes said that they wanted to “resurrect the Baroness like a zombie” in this next one. Now, the Baroness didn’t actually die in the first film, so she wouldn’t need resurrection as such. We think the team just has zombies on the brain as they’ve recently launched their Amazon Zombieland pilot. They also may have meant that they’d like to see the character receive a “proper” treatment versus what was – in the minds of many fans – an odd interpretation of the iconic Joe villainess in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. It’s interesting that they called out the Baroness specifically, though, as she was one of the few villains not mentioned in Retaliation.
The writing team also stressed that Dwayne Johnson’s Roadblock would absolutely be a part of the third film, which is no real surprise, and that Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes were also likely to return. In our recent interview with Johnson the actor jokingly said, "I'm leading the Joe's so I better, or there's a problem" when asked if he'd be back. It should be noted that Reese and Wernick haven’t officially been tapped to write G.I. Joe 3. They feel fairly confident in terms of the financial return on the second film though, saying, “It was made for $50 million less and is projected to make $100 more, so I’d call that a success.” We will keep you updated as details on the project emerge. On April 23rd in US Yahoo website, official posters for a new Hollywood made movie’RED 2’ were posted. In the movie, there are many famous stars such as Catherine Zeta Jones, Bruce Willis, Anthony Hopkins, and more. Including its main poster, individual posters for each star have been unveiled.
In the poster, Lee put on a black suit, look sharp, and there are different types of guns on bed. As the poster was revealed, many fans around the world are questioning what kind of role he has taken.
The movie ‘RED 2’ has been reviewed by many critics as ‘one of the most expected works in first half of 2013.' The story is about former CIA agents who fall into a plot and block harms in society. It is an action comic movie and is a sequence of original RED that was hugely successful in 2010.

Orders for 2000 sets of Lee Byung Heon's action figure started.
On April 25th, the production company announced that the orders for 2000 sets of Lee Byung Heon's action figure started on April 22nd.
Tbe figure is 12 inch in size, and only 2000 figures were produced for sales. A great number of famous figure producers participated in the production, and it has over 95% resemblance to Lee Byung Heon.
Actor Lee Byung Heon also showed a great surprise after seeing the figure himself as well.
When the figure was revealed, a great number of fans from China, Singapore, Japan, Malaysia, America, and South America showed great interests.
The production company said, "A great number of fans from different countries are making many inquiries. It seems that they are showing particularly great interests because it was produced in a limited number. It seems that it will be sold out very quickly."
Lee Byung-hun attended the Cinemateque Sponsorship Night to contribute to the development of Korean films. The event was held at a Burberry shop within Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch on April 24th. Burberry has sponsored Cinemateque with photograph pages of ‘Arena’, a fashion magazine. Lee participated in an issue of the magazine.
Advance sales of 2,000 pieces of limited editions of Lee’s action figures started. A representative of Good Toy, the manufacturer of the figures, said, “Booking for figures of Lee in Masquerade started on April 22nd.” This 12-inch-long figure was made by a high level manufacturing team and it is said to resemble the actual model over 90%.
Lee also said, “I’m amazed by the details.” The representative of Good Toy said, “Orders from domestic and foreign fans are rushing. We are selling only a limited quantity, so they are going to be sold out very soon.”
In advance of tomorrow's full trailer reveal, Summit Entertainment has released six new character posters for "RED 2," the sequel to 2010's suprise hit "RED," the action-comedy based on the DC Comics miniseries by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner. Directed by "Galaxy Quest's" Dean Parisot and again written by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber, "RED 2" reunites Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Hellen Mirren with a host of new additions including Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung Hun Lee, all of whom are featured below.
The first "RED" grossed nearly $200 million worldwide against a modest $60 budget, and all indications point to the sequel featuring same madcap humor and violence of the original, which was directed by Robert Schwentke.
Lee Byung Hun is an awesome Korean actor in every sense of the word! Recently he held a charity night in order for the improvement of Korean films. His agency BH Entertainment stated on April 25, that Lee Byung Hun held a “Cinema Theque Charity Night” event on April 24. The event was held at the Gangnam Shinsegae Department Burberry Store.
“Cinema Theque” (Full name “The Korean Association of Cinematheques”) is an organization that supports Korea’s independent films. For two years, Burberry has been supporting the organization by holding photoshoots with the fashion magazine “Arena.” Many individuals in the film industry joined the event.
The photoshoot of the actors/actresses that have supported “Cinema Theque” will be displayed for two weeks on the 6th floor of Shinsegae Department Store’s Gangnam building.
