mmg ada ura2 nak gugur pun .... tapi next year ada lagi ...
kat olimpik mmg ada peraturan had 2 wakil tuk satu2 negara ni kalau ranking dorang in top 24 kalau tak silap ... top 16 or top 24 lupa lak ...
tapi tuk single ... dorang akan dapat 3 wakil kalau ketiga2 ranking dlm top 4 ...
tu yg lindan kalah ngan chen jin smlm ... nak kena tolong ranking chenjin & chen long ....
jadi sampai bulan 5 tahun depan, jgn terperanjat la kalau ada kekalahan yg pelik2 sbb skrg ni masa mengumpul mata tuk gi olimpik kaedahnye .... |

agree, dgn kekalahan pelik2 ni, bayangkan pasukan merah semunay dapat maksimum 3 orang masuk. jadi kurang mnearik pula olimpik nanti . ai berharap, kalaupun mereka masuk, biar mereka terpaksa berlawan sesama sendiri sejak pusingan pertama lagi :@ |

Chong Wei asked to help turn ‘softie’ player into a tough nut
KUALA LUMPUR: A plan is under way to toughen up back-up men’s singles shuttler Liew Daren.
And world number one Lee Chong Wei has been asked to help turn “softie” Daren into a tough nut.
National coach Tey Seu Bock believes Daren has the potential to take over Chong Wei’s place in the future.
“Daren is not tough enough on court. He has to change his attitude and be more aggressive like Chong Wei,” said Seu Bock.
“I want him to pick up some positive traits from Chong Wei like playing with more confidence,” added Seu Bock.
Daren has shown improvement in his game over the last few months. The only thing lacking is that he does not strike fear into his opponents.
In the Taiwan Open a week ago, Daren pulled off a stunning win over third seeds Lee Hyun-il of South Korea in the second round.
But hours later, he went down tamely to Thai youngster Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk.
His mixed fortunes in Taiwan saw him moving up eight rungs from 53rd to 45th in the world – his best ranking in his career so far.
“Chong Wei is really committed to help Daren. If Daren continues with his determination to change for the better, I believe he has a chance to challenge for a medal at the Indonesia SEA Games in December,” said Seu Bock.
Seu Bock added that he would also be asking chief coach Rashid Sidek to allow Daren to follow Chong Wei to all international tournaments in the future.
“Let him be Chong Wei’s shadow in the next one year. I want him to learn as much as possible from the best player in the world,” said Seu Bock.
Daren, however, will not be following Chong Wei to the Japan Open, which begins on Wednesday. Although he has qualified, he did not get the green light from the Badminton Association of Malaysia to compete.
In his absence, Malaysia will only be represented by defending champion Chong Wei.
On Chong Wei’s preparation for the Japan Open, Seu Bock said: “This will be his first tournament since the World Championships in England (where he lost to Lin Dan of China in the final).
“His condition is good and I hope he will perform well. He is not taking anything for granted.”
Top seed Chong Wei is in the same half with China’s Wang Zhengming and Denmark’s Peter-Gade Christensen while Lin Dan is in the lower half with three of his compatriots Chen Jin, Du Pengyu and reigning China Masters champion Chen Long.
For the record, Chong Wei has reached the final of all the eight individual tournaments he competed in this year. Except for the South Korea Open and the world meet, he has won the other six – Super Series Masters Finals, Malaysian Open, All-England, Indian Open, Malaysian Grand Prix Open and Indonesian Open.

China admits match fixing in Olympic badminton
16:47 AEST Sat Mar 22 2008
AFP
China's badminton head coach has admitted ordering a player to throw a crucial tie at the 2004 Olympic Games.
Coach Li Yongbo told China Central Television's sports channel that the 2004 Athens Olympics semi-final was fixed to improve China's chances of winning a gold medal.
Two Chinese players, Zhou Mi and Zhang Ning, were drawn together in the semi-final tie.
After watching Zhang win the first game, the coaching staff decided that she would have a better shot at winning the final against a non-Chinese opponent rather than Zhou.
"After the first game, Zhang looked in better all round shape," Li was quoted as saying in a report on the interview by Sina.Com, a popular website.
"So we told Zhou Mi not to work too hard and let Zhang into the final."
Li said he and the Chinese team had nothing to be ashamed of.
"It shows our patriotism and in fact I am proud of it."
Zhang won the gold as planned and is expected to defend her Olympic title at the Beijing Games here in August.
For her part, Zhou quit the Chinese team and went to Hong Kong. She is currently hoping to qualify to represent the territory in badminton at the Beijing Olympics.
Li's admission revived long-standing concern about behind-the-scenes arrangements at top international table tennis and badminton events by Chinese teams.
The practice first surfaced in 1987, when He Zhili ignored an order to throw a semi-final to teammate Guan Jianhua at the 1987 world table tennis championships.
She went on to win the final, but was left out of the 1988 Seoul Olympic team as punishment.
In badminton, suspicions are still rife about Wang Dan's defeat to teammate Chen Jin in the recent all-England final, with some experts suggesting that Wang threw the game.
