Firefly opens up Kuala Lumpur–Christmas Island connection

KUALA LUMPUR: Firefly Sdn Bhd (Firefly), the low-cost unit of Malaysia Airlines will introduce weekly scheduled charter service between Kuala Lumpur and Christmas Island in Australia from July 7 this year.
The airline said the services would be available every Saturday, departing Kuala Lumpur at 9.20am and arriving Christmas Island at 10.55am, while the return flight leaves Christmas Island at 11.55am and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 3.30pm.
“Firefly will utilise its B737-400 aircraft, which has a seating capacity of 162, on this route.
“The new services are a collaboration between the airline and Sunwise Nominees Pty Ltd doing business as Christmas Island Air,” Firefly said in a statement yesterday.
Besides the new services to Christmas Island, Firefly said it was also operating twice weekly scheduled charter services between Malacca and Penang utilising its ATR72-500 turboprop aircraft and weekly charter services to Nanning direct from Kuala Lumpur and also via Penang utilising its B737-400 aircraft.
Chief executive officer Ignatius MC Ong said Firefly’s scheduled charter services are doing well because of its excellent customer service, reasonable fee and willingness to accommodate clients’ flight schedules.
“We are also flexible in accommodating special requests such as customised in-flight menus, use of lounge facilities at Subang Skypark and tailor-made in-flight announcements.
“Most requests for scheduled charter services are to stations not serviced within the Firefly network.
“Besides providing scheduled charters, the airline also offers ad-hoc charters.
Clients are mainly from corporate companies who book the entire aircraft for their company outings and corporate incentive programmes,” Ong said. —Bernama

tanya satu en hairul..i dah beli ff ni td utk fly bln 10..last skali kan kuor internet cek in tu...next...next..kuor boarding pass tp i x print sbb printer abis ink..so how eh...what to do?

nak tanya saper2 yg ada pengalaman dgn FF ni....kalo dh check in...pastu dpt no seat segala tu....let say nak beli seat boleh lg ke tak?
Sbb kami 2 branak..bila check-in anak duk tmpt lain mak duk tmpt lain.....kalo tau berpisah camni awal2 lg ku beli seat 1....tp bila carik2 kot2 dpt manage my booking mcm AA...tak jumpa plak....
So mcmana caranya nak beli seat slps check in so that kami 2 branak dpt duk skali? |

sape2 yg terlepas free seat AA tu...mohler book FF lak...to Langkawi RM70 return jer termasuk luggage and jus/kacang atau muffin... .... naik AA kena byr RM55 without luggage or muffin/jus...cepat2 byk lagi murah...
Promote free jer FF ni...hhihihih Travel period 21 jan 2013 - 29 MAR 2014 lagik...setahun lebih kooo...

Nak tanya.. nak ke airport subang ni ada public transport x? Parking kat sana senang? Brapa rate sejam?
Kalau teksi dari s.alam slalunya brapa ye..
