Alonso won't keep his patience if things won't change at Renault
Fernandohas said that he won't keep his patience forever at the Renault Formula1 team. Even though the Spaniard is glad to return to Renault he doesfeel the team needs to improve the car in order to stay happy at theteam.
Speakingto Spanish radio station SER Alonso said: "Sure, I can be patient, butfor long? No, not really. Last year I was in fourth position around theend of the season behind the Ferrari drivers and Lewis Hamilton. InAustralia I was fourth again so at the moment my position hasn'tchanged yet. Sure, it will be a long season for our team, but if ourteam won't improve I will run out of patience.
"The only thingwe can do right now is work hard and give 100% to improve ourselves. There is still a lot of potential to improve the car. We are stilleight tenths of a second behind on the top teams and during the raceseven a second but we have to be realise that we're only working on thiscar for just two months. We know what we can improve and that is mainlyour aerodynamics and brakes." |

Alonso targets qualifying improvement
FernandoAlonso fought to a better than expected fourth place finish in theAustralian Grand Prix, after qualifying eleventh. Heading to Malaysiathe Spaniard is in good spirits but targeting a better qualifyingperformance from his car as the major area for improvement.
"I think that wemust certainly improve our performance level on a single lap inqualifying so that we can be in a better position on the grid to makethings easier in the race," said Alonso. "Then it is important to havegood consistency so that we don't lose ground and can start to moveforward. This is what we must keep in mind during the practice sessionson Friday in Sepang."
"The Melbourne result is very importantfor the team and it gives us confidence and extra motivation tocontinue working hard," added the double world champion. "We know thatwe made the most of unusual circumstances, but we still had to be in aposition to do that. However, this is only the first race and we muststill make progress to get on terms with the pace of the other teams. There is work to do, but the result in Melbourne gives us all thebelief that we can get there."
He went on to warn rivals that he will be stronger at this weekend's Malaysian Grand Prix.
"Sepangreally is my favourite track," Alonso added. "I took my first poleposition there in 2003 with Renault, and I have won this race twice. It's a circuit that I enjoy and I always tend to attack a little bitmore. I hope that this year I will be able to do well and I'm reallylooking forward to the race." |

Toro Rosso up for sale
Theword in Formula One circles at the moment is that the Scuderia ToroRosso team is up for sale and as our spies in Melbourne confirmed, thereason behind this move is quite simple.
Itappears as if Red Bull boss, Dieter Mateschitz wants to sell the teammostly because from 2009 onwards, every team on the grid will have tobuild their own car, with customer cars ruled out of the new ConcordeAgreement.
However, while this is normal practice for Formula One, having to do this fortwo teams will be just way too expensive and the going price for theToro Rosso team is said to be set at 80 million dollars.
Sowho could be a possible buyer? Possibly Mr. Texeira, who currently ownsthe A1 racing circus and who has previously attempted to secure theteam once before in October last year.
lelong2..sapa nak beli toro rosso silalah berbuat demikian sebelum musim habis

The future of Jean Todt?
Ferrari has confirmed the long-awaited news that Jean Todt has left Ferrari. The 62-year-old Frenchman, who has run Ferrari's racing operations since July 1993, has yet to give any details of his future plans, but we are hearing increasing rumours that Todt will make a run for the FIA presidency in 2009, when current incumbent Max Mosley stands down. Logically, this would be with Mosley's support. Mosley (68) is a great fan of Todt.
Ferrari said that Luca di Montezemolo will replace Tost as Ferrari president and Amedeo Felisa will take over as chief executive officer. The 62-year-old has been with Ferrari since 1990. Todt will remain on the board of directors of Ferrari SpA and will continue in his role as president of Ferrari Asia Pacific and Ferrari Western Europe. He will also continue to represent Ferrari on the FIA World Council, which appears to be a clear sign of his future intentions.
Ferrari has nominated the following to the board of Ferrari for the next three years: Luca di Montezemolo, Piero Ferrari (Enzo Ferrari's son), Jean Todt, Amedeo Felisa, Alfredo Altavilla, Diego della Valle, Christopher Gent (former head of Vodafone), Ferruccio Luppi, Sergio Marchionne (FIAT), Paolo Monferino, Lindsay Owen-Jones (former CEO of L'Oreal), Marco Piccinini (the FIA Deputy President) and Sergio Pininfarina.
The next FIA election for president will be in October 2009. There is likely to be much opposition to Todt in FIA circles although the move may not be greeted with much enthusiasm in the F1 world.
