they were really good during the first half, but quite sloppy during the rest. I'd love to see them get more corner kicks after the first half, but it didn't happen. But against the 'curse' of 1994, the first world cup i saw, the heart breaking end, italy prevailed. :D
well, about zidane, what a bad move. i've never really seen him play before, since i'm not soccer fan (i'm just interested in italy in the world cup). but he's a great player alright. amzing ball control ability. but what an end. i wish to see more pride for the end of such career, even if they didn't win.
i'm aware that some won't acknowledge his religious background as a source of his greatness. I won't argue with that. but I know there'll be some who'd relate his recent violence to his religious background. let's see. |

i dont think he is a practising muslim but he is a great visionary in the football field. very elegant in his games. i feel sad but it was provoked when matturazi pulled him and clamped him.

Zinedine Yazid Zidane
Zidane is definitely a muslim. Ribery married his wife wahiba who is a muslim. Back to zidane, he did admit he is muslim but he is not a practising-muslim. That's what he said.. I went to Paris last year and been in a souveniour shop. His shopkeeper was a muslim. We had a conversations about zidane. I said to him zidane was a great player. He replied to me.... 'Yes he is a great player in football but in term of islam he is not good."
By the way, he's got 4 childrens and 3 of his children names are not a muslim name (luca, enzo, forgot the other one).. but his fourth child's name is ilyaz which is a muslim name.
I am a big big fan of zizou. What a sad to see a legend like him to end his career with a disgraceful incident. Yes it is absolutely madness behaviour by zidane. He should have thought he was playing in HIS LAST GAME. Infact, he is playing in the WORLD CUP FINAL with just 8 mins to go.. what a shame. He's been outstanding througout the tournament and once again been superb in the match against italy.
In the other hand, i think this is a lesson from Allah S.W.T. Allah knows everything and He can change your glamourous and compliment world to unimaginable incident just by split second. He gave everything to zidane.. success.. compliments by the world... a tremendous skill and flair in football.. but he seems not to be interested to change his life from non-practising muslim to a good muslim.
May Zidane will learn a lesson.
Whatever he did, for me he is still the best player in the world of football, just in a range of pele and maradona.

i think so too. he's a big guy and i expect more strength than that. but even though he wasn't in pain, i'm pretty sure such attack would result in a red anyway.

In addition, he is just another human being like us ( with exception that he is a gifted person in his own field - from who, ALLAH his Creator of course ) that can make simple mistake such as easily losing temper( not his typical character though) . My two cents opinion is that such incident shall not turn him into a glorified image equals to the Creator as how some fanatic Argentina fans had worship Maradona into a Man God till today. |
