Salam estrellas... I would suggest you go to a fertility specialist. I was in the same situation as yours. Progesterone low, egg not coming out of the ovaries i.e. PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). Took metformin and clomid for 6 months to no effect. Did IUI, failed... Then, switched gynae. Now seeing a gynae who is a fertility specialist as well. The tests done are more thorough and steps to be taken is more clear. Try Tropicana Medical Center's Fertility Clinic kat Kota Damansara. Dekat dengan Shah Alam kan?
Basically apa the fertility specialist said was... the female hormones comes from the eggs (ovum). Eggs nih mmg ada sejak kita lahir. KAlau eggs tak boleh develope elok, hormones kita akan terganggu. As kita age, PCOS nih akan worsen. Kalau minor PCOS still boleh treat dgn medication. Kalau dah severe, medication would not work. Sebab egg tuh tak develope elok and keluar ke fallopian tube. So, buat IUI pun tak guna jugak. Sebab kalau implantation occurs pun, most likely the egg tuh shell jer takder isi inside. Will be a blighted ovum. Ada kantung kosong jer masa implantation occurs.
The treatments he suggested to me was either (1) Do a laproscopic surgery for ovarian drilling, checking of fallopian tubes, burn any endometriosis, take out any polyps and fix any adhesions. or (2) Do Gonadotrophin injections treatment. If fail to get pregnant on low dosage, he'll increase the dosage. If increased dosage fails, he suggested IVF.
For option (1) cost is ~rm7-8k, with 90% chance the hormone levels will go back to normal for the next 10 years (enough childbearing years untuk 2-3 babies lah kot...). can conceive naturally if successful. For option (2) The injections would cost ~rm1-2k. The IVF will cost ~rm15-20k.
I've opted for option (1) with KIV on option (2) should hubby and i fail to conceive naturally in 6 months after surgery.
Wah, panjang dah citer. My suggestion would be go see a fertility specialist and get your condition diagnosed properly so that you would know what is the best option for you. Good Luck! |

oh ye... forgot to add: for option (2), lepas beranak, the hormone levels will likely go back to what it was before pregnancy. i.e. masih PCOS lagik. so kira nyer, short term solution untuk purpose nak dapatkan anak jer la... hormones masih haywire. yg option (1) tuh more towards long term solution in terms of hormonal balance. |

That was what the gynae cakap la. Sebab takut ada traces of hcg, so boleh dapat false positive. Tapi gynae kata kalau ada spotting, boleh buat straight away eventhough baru 2 minggu. |

mel pon pcos gak.... dah buat ovarian drilling thn 2009...
sblm ni period mmg xteratur... siap kena mkn ubt ukt bg period
paling elok pon 2 bln sekali dia dtgla
pas buat ovarian drilling tuh memula rasa cam x berkesan jer
period tetap sama gak mcm tuh... tp okla sket dia mai gak 2bln sekali
pas drilling tu doc kata kalau success 6bln pertama tu boleh conceive
huhu dh kt 2thn dh ni blom ada rezeki lg
tp thn 2011 ni baru mel prasan period mel dh mai tetiap bulan tanpa mkn ubat
tp x pastila sbb buat drilling atau mel jaga pemakanan

Ummi kembali...sblum ni ummi posting kat TTC..nak citer skit background ye, Ummi dh buat hormon test, HSG dan alhamdulillah doc kata ok..tp rahim Ummi jenis retrovert..
For 1st time, doc suh ummi try secara normal dlu, then baru IUI....so for 1st time ni, amik clomid..dan harini 1st day dan 1st cycle amik clomid..hari ke 8, 10, 12 gi scan...berdebar2 rasanya...td bru call mac tanya pasal scan...semoga Allah permudahkan dan makbulkan doa kita...

Tak menjadi la... Baru tukar gynae. I ada PCOS. Yg gynae baru ni kata kalau keluar egg pun, egg tuh mungkin empty shell. So tak guna jugak buat IUI. Also, he said kalo dah ada anak2 yg conceive naturally sebelum ni, kaedah natural pun dah good enough. So, weekend nih nak gi buat ovarian drilling. Kalau tak menjadik yg tu, buat gonadotropin injections pulak. Kalau tak menjadik lagi, buat IVF pulak... |

Gnae mel tak kasik makan clomid ker lepas ovarian drilling? Hari tuh Dr. kata lepas 6 months cuba sendiri kalau takder rezeki jugak, boleh start buat fertility treatments...
Yup, kena jaga pemakanan jugak. I period dah monthly. Dulu (last year) kena makan ubat baru period. Pastuh jaga pemakanan, datang monthly. Cuma nyer sikit sangat. Ada ler 2-3 hari jer. Mel period normal 7 hari ker? |

Ha'ah. Bunyi macam seram tapi actually takder lah scary mana pun kot. Dah tgk video dah, basically doc akan laser kat ovary tuh. Kat TMC dorang tunjuk camner procedure tuh dibuat sebelum kita commit nak buat ker tidak. Masa kita operate nanti, dpt video jugak... Buat malu jer... |
