Liverpool gossip round-up

Juventus are eyeing a move for Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva, according to theExpress.

The Brazilian has reportedly been told he can leave the club, after being left out of Brendan Rodgers’ matchday squad against Stoke.

Juve have already recruited Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, but are keen to add another midfielder as an alternative to Julian Draxler.

Roberto Mancini and Inter Milan tried to sign Lucas in January, and remain interested in his services.

Liverpool FC 1-0 Bournemouth player ratings

Simon Mignolet
Didn't have too many actual saves to make and flapped at a couple of late crosses but his handling was decent otherwise. 6

Joe Gomez
Had a slightly shaky start and made a couple of hurries clearances but also showed nice footwork on the touchline and some very composed positioning. 6

Nathaniel Clyne
Had to be wary of the pace threat of Gradel but got his measure with one crunching tackle in the first half earning the Kop's full approval. Almost set Benteke up for a second. 7

Martin Skrtel
Made the usual array of blocks with all forms of his body and was needed especially in those first 15 minutes. 7

Dejan Lovren
Was horribly turned by Callum Wilson early on and was lucky to get the free-kick on the Tommy Elphick header. Also made a hash of a skied clearance but did clear up his own mess. 6

James Milner
Helped stem the early Bournemouth tide and his experience is looking to be a key asset in the middle of the park. 6

Jordan Henderson
Set up the goal, hit the bar and then missed most of the second half with injury. 7

Jordon Ibe
Still a work in progress but made one great pull back first half which Milner should have slotted. 6

Adam Lallana
Carried the ball well at times but caught horribly in possession despite 40,000 shouting man-on. More end product still needed. 6

Philippe Coutinho
Was at the heart of most of Liverpool's good things - as usual - and could have got himself on the scoresheet on another night. Not quite at his brilliant best though. 7

Christian Benteke
Got the winner, hit the bar and blasted another just wide. John henry will have been impressed with how Brendan Rodgers has spent his money. Needs to cut out those crossfield balls near his own box though. 7

Substitutes
Emre Can: Couple of strong challenges on the edge of his own box and still loves those gallops forward. 7

Roberto Firmino: Looks half daft to me, with cult hero written all over him. he'll have better days than this. 6

Alberto Moreno: Deserves marks just for that surging run at the end, evoking memories of Tottenham last August. 6
