what a comeback by boston college. playing in the rain, both teams worked hard protecting the ball, which in turn made the game kind of boring most of the time. with 2-1 turnover advantage, playing at home, and after keeping the eagles off the scoreboard for the first 55 minutes, the hokies defense melted in the final 5 minutes.
led by its heismen trophy candidate qb, matt ryan, #2 boston college scored 2 tds in the last five minutes of the 4th quarter to beat #8 virginia tech 14-10. this comeback also strengthen ryan's case to be the best player in college football for this season.

Yeah. God I want LSU to lose again. Can't stand their coach, Les Miles. He looks like an arrogant sob. And he trash talked Pac10 early this season.
Gee, everybody that played them seemed to blow it at the end. |

if current bcs ranking stands till the end of the season, oregon will most probably play LSU for national championship. that will open the door for the trojans to play in the rose bowl against the buckeyes (most probably, provided they beat michigan).
USC really control their own destiny for the right to play in the rose bowl (they have a long shot to play for national title). however, they need to beat arizona state and ucla convincingly. they really need to beat sun devil with big margin as they are 2200 point behind sun devils in BCS standing and that's a lot to catch up. if they win all their games from this point, they will finish the conference in three-way tie with Oregon and Arizona State - assuming both teams complete the season as we predicted.

yup. I can't wait till the next season for us to play the Buckeyes. I was hoping that they'd lose to Michigan for them to lose the chance to play in the natl championship. turned out it's not necessary. |

if they ended up in three-way tie, and the ducks play for national title, USC may still be able to play in rose bowl even tough sun devils will finish ahead of them in the poll. reason, usc will draw more crowd than arizona state and this is important as money play big part in bowl games, especially major bowl games (sugar, orange, rose and fiesta). that's why hawaii will never play in major bowl games, unless they finish top 4-5 in the poll, convincingly.

oregon ducks were upset by arizona wildcats tonight, which means they won't play for national title. now, it seems like either kansas jayhawks or missouri tigers will go against LSU.
