i tanya few Q about heartburn, bengkak n berdarah gusi, period-like cramp(mild) etc.. then today masa sampai kene ambik urine sample.. lepas tu dr tanya nak tak buat blood test untuk detect baby ada down syndrome or not.. some pilih untuk tak nak buat.. i tengah berfikir lagi.. |

I think u tak payah buat unless ada family history of down syndrome lah
Nnt masa 16-20 weeks u buat detail scan dgn Dr. Tan Niap Hong
Masa tu boleh nampak muka, jari kaki tangan semualah
Best buat detail scan ni
Dpt cd boleh buat kenangan |

I'm also wondering what good would a down syndrome test be? My sister recently delivered at 38 years old, the gynae offered to do jugak. Mysis kata she would rather not know. Even if she knows, there's nothing that she can do about it. Alhamdulillah, my niece sihat walafiat... |

Maybe ada setengah patient (non muslim i would think) will decide to abort the pregnancy if the baby is detected with down syndrome
Test ni is done by taking the amniotic fluid (inject kat perut)
But then again the result is not 100% accurate
Ni i tgk kat ch 733 astro tu
Mmg penah tgk dia inject while scanning so that jarum tak kene baby
Takut jugak tgk procedure camtu
If i pregnant after 35 pon dont think i'll take the test
Baik i sembelih kambing & niat for the health of my baby je |

correct memang test akan dibuat if umur 35 ke atas..
but since this is my first experience doc just explain the procedure,
katanya i mesti pernah dengar other pregnant lady buat test darah,
nanti kalau dia tak explain i dok wonder pulak kenapa i tak kena..
katanya kalau umur 35 ke atas memang dia akan buat,
below than that terpulang pada kita..
i choose not to lah rasanya..
like u said, doc pun cakap smlm kalau ada DS, tak boleh buat apa kan..
detail scan tu my friend masa dia nak buat pun doc consult bebetul tanya betul ke nak buat?
ready ke terima kenyataan if ada anything yang tak normal.. huhu.. |

lady, if its unnecessary tests, tak payah buat la... most doctors akan offer although not medically indicated, but for business purposes, or just so that the patient tak rasa pelik "eh how come he didnt ask me but my friend the doctor tanya".
cakap calla tu betul, mostly non muslim lepas tau result tu ada yang sampai buat abortion esp Cha ya nun alif, because diorang taknak anak ramai, they just want 1-2, dan seboleh2nya dalam 1-2 orang tu diorang nak yang 'berkualiti'.
the procedure tak la invasive, but like any other procedures, do pose certain risk jugak....and the accuracy pun bukanla 100%.
i've seen cases where the doc said anak dia ni akan DS after the 4D scan, and the mother was devastated & kept on praying2 and praying, and alhamdulillah, anak dia yang keluar, normal.
and i'm talking about 4D here, not even the normal 3D scan tu... with 4D all injap jantung baby, you boleh nampak, then mulut sumbing semua u boleh nampak.....so most of the time its quite accurate....
at the end of the day, everything is in God's will... |

the reason i tanya you what you discuss with your gynae, is so that you ask questions yang relating to the trimester you are now.
like early stage, usually patients will ask stuffs like, can i do this, can i eat that, can me & hubby still do it etc....
jangan la time first appointment baby baru 6 weeks terus tanya pasal epidural..... tunggu la trimester 3 baru tanya....hehehhehe |

hehe i tak tanya lagi pasal epidural, malu nak tanya sebab awal lagi kan hehe..
biasanya bila jumpa doc i tanya pasal benda2 baru yang i rasa like gusi berdarah, heartburn, pasal cramp etc.. baby pun baru 3 inch kot kan  |

6 weeks tak der heartbeat buat D&C? ok, thats misleading... in case ada discrepancy of info, always alwaya always get 2nd, 3rd opinion.. remember, doctors are not god, even among the practitioners they have different approach or management treatment for their patients.
sebab tu i scout for many gynae, to find THE ONE. sebab if i'm gonna risk my life & my baby's, i need to have that trust & confidence in her first. |

memang pun.....tanya soalan yang bersesuaian ikut trimester la...yang dah penghjung2 tu baru cakap pasal epi, pasal blood cord, pasal sunat (if anak lelaki) etc...

tu la pasal, geram jer baca.. as if dia dengar heartbeat baby at 6w others pun shud be the same.. crap!
i tak survey banyak masa cari gynae since my sil recommend this gynae im seeing now, my sil jumpa sejak 10 years ago..
so i gave a try and after first meeting, i rasa dia ok.. so terus continue.. |

patutnya coming june ada di swiss for my husband's meeting 
tapi now ni takut pulak nak jalan2 jauh.. hehe.. |

kalau you ada heartburn try makan gaviscon lepas makandulu masa early pregnancy and towardsa the end pon i ada heartburn ni
my gyne gave me gaviscon and it works
hilang heartburn tu and you feel lega lepas makan |

my update masa check up aritu...doc fauziah takde.(cuti lagi) and doc gaanti je yg cek.huhu...nak tanya la..bukan ke normal kalau g pregnancy checkup dia mmg akan amik urine kan.dah xplain dah to this substitute doc yg sepanjang pregnancy ni dah kena dua kali UTI tp dia takde plak nak soh amik urine.kompius kat situ jela kejap...
then next mth buat 3d/4d scan.tp bukan doc yg buat nurse tu kata.dia kata pakar scan yg buat.so again tak dpt jumpe doc fauziah...huhu |
