SRK and Kareena to lend their voices for City of Dreams

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu, Karan Johar, Urmila Matonkar, Arjun Rampal and Rakhi Sawant will be a part of the Morani Brothers' and Ashish Gidwani Productions' first Bollywood musical, City of Dreams. It will premiere on June 13 at Mumbai's St. Andrews Auditorium.
Based on the story of a small-town girl who comes to Mumbai with stars in her eyes to become an actress, the musical drama stars Nasreen Morani in the central role. The two-hour extravaganza boasts of larger-than-life sets and props and is jointly directed by Gautam Joglekar and Mohammed Morani.
All the stars will be seen as narrators in an audio-visual playing intermittently. Five more shows are lined up in Mumbai. "Such shows are very popular abroad and we wanted to introduce them in India too," said Mohammed Morani.

It's Always Kareena for Saif

That's Saif Ali Khan for you. The guy believes in going the full hog when it comes to his lovelife. These days his love and his life are both Kareena Kapoor. It seems that he is not very happy about Kareena not being a part of his maiden production.
After the release of Jab We Met, Saif was believed to have been very impressed by director Imtiaz Ali and wanted to work with him. Soon, thereafter, Saif launched his own production house and he signed Imtiaz to direct the first film to come out of his banner. Sriram Raghavan is to direct the next, which is titled Agent Vinod and is supposed to be an espionage thriller. At that time, Saif gave his director the final say in casting and Imtiaz chose Deepika Padukone. But it seems that Saif is having second thoughts about it. He would have preferred to have been cast opposite Kareena in the maiden film of his banner as well. He believes now that he should have probably insisted on working with Bebo. If it happened today, that's what would be his answer. In fact, today, he would rather go with Kareena, Imtiaz be dammed. The second film to roll out from Saif's production house, Agent Vinod, however, does feature Kareena. So that should be some consolation for the Chhote Nawab.

Akshay抯 Double Role

Well, in real life, Akshay Kumar has probably played all these roles and some more with his near and dear ones, like all of us. But on screen, the actor will be seen in a double role for the first time.
Vipul Shah's next film will see Akshay as the double role of father and son. The film's story is expected to span a period between the Fifties to the present day. Akshay seems to have become a lucky mascot for Vipul. Hardly has the shooting for Singh Is Kinng wrapped up, that the producer is already working on another project with his favourite actor. Akshay is the current blue eyed boy of Dame Luck, what with his four box office successes last year. Of course, we have yet to see him try him luck at the box office this year. He has been busy shooting the year round. It still remains to be seen if he can repeat his success of last year, where he had four hits Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Namastey London, Heyy Babyy and Welcome. Of course, there is nothing official as yet about Vipul's next film. The producer is yet to make an announcement about his forthcoming movie with Akshay.
