Asalaam Alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam
A deadly earthquake measured grade 7.9 Richter scale happened in Sichuan Province, China 2:00 PM May 12th local time. Up to now based on incomplete figures, the death toll exceeded 19866.
Sichan Province is a home of 13731 mulims mainly belonged to Hui tribe with over 20 masjids. They live in 20 towns and citys all over the province. During the earthquake, some of the muslim towns are completely vanished, others are seriously damaged. Our brothers and sisters are suffering great lost. Just in Chuanbei Town, about 70% of the total muslims propulation was lost during the earthquake. Numbers of homes and masjids collapse.
Dear brothers and sisters, now it is the time to show our unity. Muslim umah is like a human body, if any part is suffering, the whole body would suffering. Dear brothers and sisters, now it is the time to show our support. Even a smile is a charity, even a dollar may save a life. Allah said in the holly Quran:
مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ كَتَبْنَا عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَنَّهُ مَن قَتَلَ نَفْسًا بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ أَوْ فَسَادٍ فِي الأَرْضِ فَكَأَنَّمَا قَتَلَ النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَمَنْ أَحْيَاهَا فَكَأَنَّمَا أَحْيَا النَّاسَ جَمِيعًا وَلَقَدْ جَاء تْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا بِالبَيِّنَاتِ ثُمَّ إِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِّنْهُم بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ فِي الأَرْضِ لَمُسْرِفُونَ (5:32)
[ Because of this did We ordain unto the children of Israel that if anyone slays a human being-unless it be (in punishment) for murder or for spreading corruption on earth-it shall be as though he had slain all mankind; whereas, if anyone saves a life, it shall be as though he had saved the lives of all mankind. And, indeed, there came unto them Our apostles with all evidence of the truth: yet, behold, notwithstanding all this, many of them go on committing all manner of excesses on earth. ] (5:32)
