KUALA LUMPUR: Wong Pei Tty-Chin Eei Hui made it to the top of the world rankings for the first time in their careers but they were not jumping for joy.
In the Badminton World Fede-ration (BWF) ranking list yesterday, Pei Tty-Eei Hui moved one rung up to replace China抯 Olympic champions Du Jing-Yu Yang as the No. 1.
It was the first time in many years that China failed to occupy the top spot in the women抯 doubles rankings.
Pei Tty felt that the ranking did not really reflect where they stood among the top pairs in the world.

There were no major changes in the men抯 rankings with Lee Chong Wei staying at number one in the singles and the pairs of Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif-Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari and Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong remaining among the top five.
