KAI bangun prototipe 004 KF-21 versi tandem untuk unique requirement TNI AU

Dalam pengembangan jet tempur multiperan KF-21 Boramae, sebanyak delapan prototipe KF-21 telah dibangun oleh KAI. Terdiri dari enam unit untuk uji terbang dan dua unit untuk uji darat.
Salah satu prototipe KF-21 tersebut dengan nomor seri 004 adalah model tempat duduk tandem yang menjadi salah satu persyaratan TNI Angkatan Udara (TNI AU).
Sedari awal, dalam perancangan jet tempur generasi 4,5 ini Tim Engineer dari KAI (Korea Selatan) dan PTDI (Indonesia) mengakomodasi kebutuhan dari kedua calon pengguna masing-masing negara.
Dalam hal ini adalah Angkatan Udara Korea Selatan (RoKAF) dan TNI AU, masing-masing mempunyai kriteria sesuai doktrin yang dibutuhkan negara masing-masing yang disebut sebagai unique requirement.
Khusus mengenai persyaratan unik dari TNI AU, selain versi tempat duduk ganda (tandem) adalah sistem pengisian bahan bakar di udara (air refueling) menerapkan sistem probe & drouge sedangkan RoKAF dengan metode boom system.
TNI AU telah terbiasa dengan sistem probe & drouge ini seperti pada jet Hawk 200 dan Su-27/30 dengan menggunakan pesawat tanker KC-130B Hercules.
TNI AU juga menginginkan penggunaan drag chute (rem parasut), sementara RoKAF tak menggunakannya. Untuk memenuhi kebutuhan ini maka struktur KF-21 diperkuat baik versi KF-X maupun IF-X.
Selanjutnya TNI AU juga menginginkan kapasitas bahan bakar tangki eksternal untuk 480 liter terkait wilayah udara Tanah Air yang luas sehingga diperlukan bahan bakar ekstra untuk patroli. Sementara RoKAF cukup mebutuhkan untuk 370 liter saja.
Mengenai versi tandem KF-21, prototipenya belum menjalani penerbangan perdananya. Dari enam prototipe terbang, baru KF-21 nomor seri 001 satu yang telah mengudara.
Rencananya PTDI juga akan membangun satu prototipe yang akan dibantu oleh KAI. PTDI sendiri telah memiliki hanggar IF-X untuk proses persiapan produksi di Tanah Air.

Roketsan signed a contract for KHAN Land-to-Land Ballistic Missile System and HİSAR Air Defense Missile System to Indonesia during the Indo Defense Fair
Indo Defense 2022 Defense Industry Fair, held in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, opened its doors today. Being the foreign country that participated in the fair with the highest number of companies, Turkey signed important agreements with Indonesian authorities.
In this context, contracts were signed for the KHAN Land-to-Land Ballistic Missile System and the HİSAR Air Defense Missile System developed by Roketsan.
ROKETSAN will make the first export of the Long-Range Artillery Missile Khan to Indonesia.

ROKETSAN, the leading missile and rocket systems manufacturer of the Turkish defense industry, attended the Indo Defense Expo & Forum 2022 held in Jakarta, Indonesia and signed important agreements.
ROKETSAN Deputy General Manager Murat Kurtuluş told Anadolu Agency (AA) that the Southeast Asian market is very important for the company and that they have been working on the fair for many years.
Emphasizing that Southeast Asia will continue to be important in the coming years, considering its geopolitical effects along with its developing economy and population, Kurtuluş said that they participated in this year's fair with their past experiences.
Noting that ROKETSAN has various products in many layers including land, air and sea, Kurtuluş stated that they signed 2 agreements with the coordination of the Presidency of Defense Industries, thanks to the trust and trust shown by the Indonesian Ministry of Defense to Turkey and the Turkish defense industry.
Murat Kurtulus said:
"With the contracts we signed, we will be putting our first products into the service of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense in the near future. There are two separate issues. The first is Khan, the Land-to-Land Long-Range Artillery System. This system is an important weapon system that is effective at a range of up to 280 kilometers and with high precision in the depths of the battlefield. We will be giving it to the Indonesian army for the first time.
The second issue is about layered air defense. The requirements of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense were different in this regard. We developed a new model with our international business partners regarding these. A technical and financial model was created. Here we introduced our first products of the layered air defense system in the middle and long-range as 2 separate systems. We will also have discussions on close air defense systems in the coming periods."
