Ubat padam memori buruk

London: Sekumpulan penyelidik Universiti McGill di Kanada kini dlm proses menghasilkan sejenis ubat baru yg didakwa mampu membantu individu memadam kenangan @ pengalaman buruk.

Menerusi kajian itu, penyelidik Kanada merawat 19 mangsa kemalangan dan rogol selama 10 hari. Peristiwa buruk yang dialami mangsa pula berlaku 10 tahun dulu.

Hasil penyelidikan itu menyamai kajian sekumpulan saintis Amerika Syarikat diketuai Profesor Joseph LeDoux dari Universiti New York.

A drug that can clear aspets of human memory could be dangerous and have serious side effects.

I am not sure how accurate the drugs will be in eliminating the 'unwanted' memory. Is it based on strong emotional reaction?

Assuming the drugs do not have serious side effect and do as it claims, would it be good to just erase the memory?

It's like taking part of yourself out. Albeit an unwanted an unhappy part. Maybe it will make them more happy.

from a moral issue point of view..experience is what shaped us to be what we are today..be it good or bad..

If taken from the point of view of the victims, that sometimes takes years if not their whole life to do erase bad memories..maybe its a blessing in disguise

If the drug is passed..who is the appointed watch dog? who is to determined the severity of certain cases to merits the drugs? what are
the bench mark? how do we accertain that all victims needs the drugs..

so many what if..if fallen under the wrong hands..it can become horrendous..

I don't think this drug will help..as someone said it could bring many serious side effects..
