Julung² meols nk tnya pengalaman mak/pak dlm porom yg ada anak special needs & doktor bekalkan ubat.
Kisahnya ank meols moderate autism masuk darjah 1 dr start sekolah mggu lepas sampai hari ni masih mngamuk² kt sekolah.
Dari umah ajk bgn mandi bsiap suma ok. Once masuk perhimpunan kt sekolah dia btukaq jd tarzan. Menurut cikgu kelas ank meols hyper kt dlm kelas lgsung xleh fokus.
Td p sekolah cikgu² suggest meols kasik ank tu mkn obt. Obt apa meols tatau..
Ank meols bwk checkup kt privet hosp & not once doktor pakar sarankn medication utk dia.
Sebelum masuk darjah 1 meols antaq eip fr 2yrs & therapist² yg handle dia xpenah komplen dia difficult ka hapa.
Lemau pulak rasa hari ni.
Selalu baca kt grup fesbuk autism parents komplen cikgu² ppki suka suruh kasi budak mkn obat, xsangka pulak tkena kt hidung sendri. Sedih weh!
So kalo ada acik² porom dlm ni sudi share experiences pro/cons ubt utk ank, obt apa... Anything lah yg related, that would be very much appreciated.

alaa...jgnla underestimate bod ubat..walau tak ramai tapi pasti u akan dapat info yg bermanfaat.
Autism ni adalah masalah komunikasi. Atau masalah neuro. Somehow jika anak tu masih kecil masih ada peluang utk jalani hidup normal dgn therapy dan treatment yg bersesuaian. Somehow kena tau jugakla level autism dan jenis.
So assumption xkan membantu lgsg anak anak tu. Best bawaklah berjumpa therapist di mana mana hospital gov atau any autism center.
Autism selalunya berkait dgn speech delay...tantrum ni salah satu method kanak kanak autism ni nak berkomunikasi..kdg depa sendiri xtau how nak expressi..so it is best bawak jumpa therapist.
lagi satu, cikgu sekolah mana yg suruh makan ubat? boleh reportla..kalau cikgu tu simply suruh makan ubat..also ubat apa? tidak ada ubat khusus utk autism pun setakat ni..selain apa yg berkait dgn to calm them..but again ubat ni kenalahbprescribe by doctor. Maybe jo cikgu sekolah biasa ke? mmg banyak cikgu sekolah yg berhadapan kids with autism..and sadly depa xde skill or knowledge..how nak handle..so mybe tt boleh research sekolahbyg bersesuaian..also pego ckp kat xikgu ti jgn malas nak handle special kids..bagila suggestion kenapa..ninsuh makan ubat.
so, having autism kids mmg challenging.but seek help. Dari circle yg betul.
Also as parents kena banyak research dan akan banyak trial and error...so harap TT tabah and keep searching best method utk bantu anak tu lead as normal as possible. |

Xder la meols underestimate bod perubatan neh, just personal observation.
Darik smlm tiade lg yg menjawab persoalan.
If momod kt ci kasik up kt sana dlm tempoh within 24hr kurang² is higher chance hada yg balas tered meols.
Ank meols ni dh start terapi dr usia 2.5thn,postpone waktu pkp, sambung blk kt swasta at 5y/o. Pegi playschool weekdays, wiken one 2 one terapi.
6thn enroll full eip programme class kt tpt meols bwk terapi tuh.
Doc pn bukan senang² nk bg obt so org senang nk manage budak autistic.
Tu pasal meols bukak tered kt ci tu sbb ramai jgk yg ada ank special needs bkuntum kt sana.

1.

2.
Language as used in social communication, or
3.
Symbolic or imaginative play (playing or talking some form of outer space words or cartoon's words or play).
Many of Autism Symptoms of Asperger's include: impaired ability to utilize social cues such as body language, irony, or other subtext of communication; restricted eye contact and socialization; limited range of interests; preservative, odd behaviors; didactic, verbose, monotone, droning voice; concrete thinking; over-sensitivity to certain stimuli; and unusual movements.
AUTISM Symptoms
Always isolated in worlds of their own, people with autism appear indifferent and remote and are unable to form emotional bonds with others. Although people with this baffling brain disorder can display a wide range of symptoms and disability, many are incapable of understanding other people's thoughts, feelings, and needs. Often, language and intelligence fail to develop fully, making communication and social relationships difficult. Many people with autism engage in repetitive activities, like rocking or banging their heads, or rigidly following familiar patterns in their everyday routines. Some are painfully sensitive to sound, touch, sight, or smell.
Children with autism do not follow the typical patterns of child development. In some children, hints of future problems may be apparent from birth. In most cases, the problems become more noticeable as the child slips farther behind other children the same age. Other children start off well enough. But between 18 and 36 months old, they suddenly reject people, act strangely, and lose language and social skills they had already acquired.
As a parent, teacher, or caregiver you may know the frustration of trying to communicate and connect with children or adults who have autism. You may feel ignored as they engage in endlessly repetitive behaviors. You may despair at the bizarre ways they express their inner needs. And you may feel sorrow that your hopes and dreams for them may never materialize.
But there is help-and hope. Gone are the days when people with autism were isolated, typically sent away to institutions. Today, many youngsters can be helped to attend school with other children. Methods are available to help improve their social, language, and academic skills.
Autism is found in every country and region of the world, and in families of all racial, ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds. Emerging in childhood, it affects about 3 or 4 people in every thousand and is three to four times more common in boys than girls. Girls with the disorder, however, tend to have more severe symptoms and lower intelligence.

ye, kita di UK sgt tidak suka pada ubat2 nya kerana autism (or mild autism yg Thunderclouds' child has), selalunya tidak ditangani sebegini
jika ''hyper'' katanya observers eg teachers or teaching assistants, itu mungkin disruptive vocalization, movement in chairs etc.
di US, yes,kot kot di tambah pada Dx itu ''hyperactivity'', maka terus lah dapat Methyphenidate (Ritalin).. sian lak kids jadi mcm moody makan pon tak nak

Thunderclouds should look broadly to assist your child to develop as safe and as improved as possible; this is of course, far easier said than done. However, if you can achieve several of the goals that your specialist set for you and your child, you will feel ''I have done something and I ahve tried doing what I can''.
Banyak sites can help; I am including here one such site; you will not be able to do all, and your child will not be able to achieve all targets, but achieving some would do alot to give him/her a much better future.
I feel sad that in Malaysia, we do not have a strong framework to assist parents to help their children develop. All we have if we examine carefully, are just socializing groups of the moms.
Look at this link, perhaps there are some pointers of what you could do as a parent.
Dont worry about all those Long Term Short Term, tidak sesuai utk di carry out pon oleh kita org Malaysia kerana social set up kita berbeza dgn org putih, and do not pay any money.. but see the Headlines that contain their aims and your can implement in your own way based on our tradition and values. Contoh: liaising with Case Managers - di malaysia mana ada health or social worker assign to your child as a Case.. dan you pon tidak akan suka untuk intervention sebegitu. Tapi aims mereka you boleh ambilkira eg support bila tantrum, bila nangis tak henti, bila tak mau makan etc

Ank sy ni mmg bwk jumpa developmental paediatrician. Dia yg diagnosed, uruskn kad oku, suggest eip utk enrol ank and not once dia suggest ambik medication.
Ank tadak tantrums, sleep pattern pn normal. Mmg xde iklan tgh² pagi buta. Or hujan x, ribut x tetiba meltdowns. None of that.
Tapi.. Tapi.. Sampai ja kt sekolah terus turn 180° pangainya. Hari Hari.
So in their (cikgu² ppki) place, sy paham depa xdpt nk control keadaan ngn murid yg ramai (pelbagai kriteria oku) kelas pn sempit.
Tak sama mcm di eip which is why sy xpernah terima komplen pasal ank. Situasi & skill xsama. |

Boleh ke chouls hantar anak lambat sikit.. atau ambik half day sementara dia nak sesuaikan diri.. |

Jika Ritalin tu, aim nya ialah untuk focuskan the patient, supaya dia then, tak terlampau active
sy ingatkan akan jadi monyok, senyap.. rupanya tak gitu aimnya
i tak tahu uabt apa yg sesuai untuk kids yang ada autistic spectrum.. tentu bergantung pada how bad the individual child's condition is
