Synopsis
Netflix is starting 2026 on a bright, breezy note with No Tail To Tell, a light fantasy romantic comedy led by Kim Hye-yoon (Lovely Runner) and Lomon (All of Us Are Dead). Packed with playful magic, quick banter, and heart-fluttering chemistry, the series turns one tiny “wish” into a very big problem.
The series follows Eun-ho (Kim Hye-yoon), a cynical nine-tailed fox who grants wishes for a living — and is determined never to become human. Love was never part of the plan. But when a sudden accident involving Kang Si-yeol (Lomon), a narcissistic yet warm-hearted star soccer player, turns her into an ordinary human, one wish gone wrong sparks a magical, chaotic romance neither of them ever asked for.
Thrown together by fate (and a wish gone sideways), Eun-ho and Si-yeol tumble into a push-and-pull, love-hate relationship filled with snappy one-liners, chaotic misunderstandings, and the kind of sparks they swear they don’t feel. As the supernatural collides with real-life emotions, the two discover that the hardest rules to follow are the ones their hearts keep breaking.
To mark the launch, a New Year Live Talk featuring the cast will stream on January 12 at 8 PM (KST) via Netflix Korea’s TikTok and the Netflix K-Content YouTube channel. A playful twist on Korean folklore with a modern rom-com sensibility, No Tail To Tell premieres January 16, only on Netflix.
What Is ‘Gumiho’ in Korean Folklore?
A mythical creature that has lived for hundreds of years, cultivating itself to become closer to being human. Often portrayed as a being with mystical powers who grants wishes. With each good deed, it grows a tail — and once all nine tails are formed, it can become human.

“No Tail To Tell” is a fantasy romance about a Gen Z gumiho (nine-tailed fox) who resists becoming human and a narcissistic human, filled with their chaotic attempts at saving each other. Kim Hye Yoon stars as Eun Ho, a quirky Gen Z gumiho who has no desire to become human, while Lomon plays Kang Si Yeol, a world-class soccer player who is confident yet never lazy.
The newly released character posters spark curiosity about Eun Ho and Kang Si Yeol, who will become entangled in a special relationship.
First up, Eun Ho—the spoiled child of the gumiho world—captures attention with her adorable smile. The multiple tails and the fox bead illustrated behind her reveal her secret identity. An eccentric Gen Z gumiho, Eun Ho prefers spending money and living like a human to piling up virtue to become one. The tagline, “Good deeds far away, men even farther,” piques curiosity about how she survives in the human world.

Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon, the leads of SBS’s upcoming Friday–Saturday drama “No Tail To Tell,” are set to guest on “Running Man” together!
On December 15, local media outlet IZE reported that Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon will appear on SBS’s flagship variety show “Running Man” as part of promotions for their new drama.
Following the report, both actors’ agencies confirmed that Kim Hye Yoon and Lomon will soon participate in a recording of “Running Man.”
This will mark Kim Hye Yoon’s second appearance on “Running Man” in six years, following her last appearance in 2019, while Lomon will be making his first-ever appearance on the show.

SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'I'm Human from Today' (scriptwriter Park Chan-young and Jo Ah-young, director Kim Jung-kwon, planning studio S, production Bingeworks and Mog Film) released the first teaser video on the 19th, which contains the secret and special 'tips' of Eun-ho (played by Kim Hye-yoon), a nine-tailed tiger who dreams of eternal life.
'I'm Human from Today' is a fantasy romance between MZ Nine-tailed Tiger who doesn't want to be human and a narcissistic human who is overly self-righteous. It depicts a story that crosses the boundaries between reality and imagination on a new nine-tailed fox worldview that has never been seen before. Above all, the mysterious chemistry created by the fresh combination of Kim Hye-yoon and Lomon, who foreshadowed the 'disgusting' romance between nine-tailed tigers and humans, raises expectations.
Kim Hye-yoon plays the role of 'Eun-ho', an MZ nine-tailed tiger who doesn't want to be human. She is an eccentric nine-tailed fox who refrains from doing small things for good deeds to become a human being, and refraining from doing big evil deeds for fear of losing her thousand-year power. Expectations are high for Kim Hye-yoon's unique transformation, which will return after about 1 year and 8 months since 'Lovely Runner'. Lomon plays 'Kang Si-yeol', a world-class soccer player who is conceited but not lazy. He played as a frontline striker in famous overseas clubs and gained a reputation as a soccer star who shone brighter than the team. Expectations are also high for Lomon's challenge to become a rising star through 'My School Now'.
In the first teaser video released, we can get a glimpse of the life of Eunho, a nine-tailed tiger who only chases 'honey jam' in the human world. "Living as a nine-tailed fox means that you just enjoy fun things without any hardship," she said, revealing the nine-tailed tiger maintenance tips that Eunho has learned over the past 900 years. It is interesting that the first tip is 'no good deeds' to avoid becoming human, and the second tip is also 'no liver picking' to avoid becoming human.
