‘Twilight’ vs. ‘Warm Bodies’: 10 Ways These Are the Same Movie

Summit Entertainment
'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2' hits theaters this weekend, meaning that the franchise beloved by teens everywhere is finally coming to an end. If you're a Twihard, that means you're probably crying your eyes out. But fear not, for another film seemingly geared towards the problems of teenage couples will be hitting theaters soon-ish. And no, we're not referring to 'The Host,' 'Beautiful Creatures' or that new young adult book series turned movie, 'The Mortal Instruments.'
Whether intentionally or subconsciously, Summit Entertainment has apparently already created a reboot of 'Twilight,' but instead of vampires, our young lovestricken heroine has fallen for a zombie. 'Warm Bodies,' starring Nicholas Hoult from 'X-Men: First Class' and 'Skins' fame as the lovelorn member of the walking dead, may not seem like a 'Twilight' reboot or spin-off on the surface. However, if you delve deeper into the trailers and images, you'll realize that 'Twilight' and 'Warm Bodies' are essentially the same movie. Here are 10 things that prove this theory.
Editor's Note: We are well aware that we're pulling a Buzzfeed in putting together this feature, but felt the hilarity was worth the judgement from all of you.
1. Edward and R Are the Same Person
Tell us these are not the same person! Go on, tell us! Edward may be a vamper and R may be a zombie, but underneath the monster labels, these two are both immortal/undead teenage boys with the same tousled hair and intense stare who are trying to get human girlfriends. Oh yeah, and they're also both trying NOT to eat said girlfriends. But back to speaking of “intense stare”
2. The Edward Stare
It's almost as if 'Twilight' and 'Warm Bodies' have the same director. They don't but certain scenes and actions from 'Twilight' seem like they were cut and pasted into 'Warm Bodies.' Anyone notice how Edward and R have the exact same stare right down to the same camera frame and angle?
3. Hold On, Spider Monkey!
Come on! They're not even trying to hide it here. Just looking at this poster from 'Warm Bodies' has us hearing, “Hang on tight, Spider Monkey,” in our heads. The main difference though is that Edward is Superman-level fast and R has the same motions as potheads who've just toked up. “[Groan]…Where am I? Need food!”
4. Kristen Stewart + Teresa Palmer — Dead Ringers
Can't believe we missed this one in our search for the funniest celebrity look alikes. While we're busy analyzing how Robert Pattinson in 'Twilight' and Nicholas Hoult in 'Warm Bodies' are essentially the same person, Kristen Stewart and Teresa Palmer already are — same dramatic eye movements, same dramatic way they flip their hair, same dramatic way they sigh (almost) uncontrollably.
5. Water Makeout Scene
Another example of a deju vu scene from the 'Warm Bodies' trailer is the long-awaited makeout scene between Julie and her zombie boyfriend. Except we've already seen it once before. Well, maybe more than once. From the backlighting in the shot to the rain soaking their faces, this scene is a recreation of Edward and Bella's honeymoon makeout session by the waterfall in 'Breaking Dawn – Part 1.'
6. Fight Scene Deja Vu
While we're on the subject of recreated scenes from other movies, can you tell which one of the below shots is from the first 'Twilight' film and which one is from 'Warm Bodies'? From what we can make of the 'Warm Bodies' trailer, a scene will involve some pretty gruesome-looking zombies attacking Julie in a warehouse-esque area with the same blue-tinted lighting from — you guessed it — the fight scene in 'Twilight' between Edward and James. And just like in 'Twilight,' R dramatically launches Julie's attacker across the room. Check out the trailer if you don't believe us.
7. The Posters
We can't tell what's worse: “When You Can Live Forever, What Do You Live For?” or “He's Still Dead, But He's Getting Warmer.”
8. Both Are Based on YA Books!
Seriously, what movie isn't based on a Young Adult book these days? Also, be sure to note 'Twilight' author Stephenie Meyer's positive critique of Isaac Marion's 'Warm Bodies.' You know what they say: birds of a feather flock together.
9. That Funny Girl Nobody Likes
Of course, there's that one Anna Kendrick-type character who's funny but everyone in the audience kind of hates because she's so against the love a monster and human can share; but then that actress makes it big on her own. In 'Warm Bodies,' that falls on Analeigh Tipton, the former 'America's Next Top Model' contestant turned actress for movies like 'Crazy, Stupid, Love,' 'The Green Hornet' and 'Damsels in Distress.' Though, we have a feeling we're gonna hate her character in the movie because she seems a little too in your face.
10. And Don't Forget…
… both 'The Twilight Saga' and 'Warm Bodies' are brought to you by Summit Entertainment!

Warm Bodies is an upcoming 2013 American romantic zombie comedy Horror/Fantasy film.
The movie is Rated PG-13 for zombie violence and some language.
Trivia
The film is based loosely on "Romeo and Juliet". "R" = "Romeo"; "Julia" = "Juliet; "Perry" = "Paris"; "M/Marcus" = "Mercutio"; "Nora" = Juliet's "Nurse" (the character of Nora is also a nurse).
aku dah baca dah buku die. baru je habis baca. ape yg aku leh komen, BUKU DIE LANGSUNG TAK SAMA NGAN TWILIGHT TU.
aku baca novel twilight yg pertama tu aku baca separuh je. ntahle mcm tak kena ngan jiwa aku. romantik sgt kot. tp buku die ekceli lebih kpd perjalanan si zombie ni berubah menjadi manusia. sgt2 poetic n berfalsafah dr twilight yg falsampah je byk tu..
tp aku tak sure la pasal movie nye plak... kalau dh jadi pilem tu pepaham jelah...
