MORE than half a million applications have been received for the 1Malaysia People's Housing Programme (PR1MA) nationwide since its launch last year. Minister in the Prime Minister's department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim told the Dewan Rakyat yesterday that the applications for the 80,000 units of PR1MA homes up for grab were received online. "All 80,000 units that had been approved are now in the preliminary phase to be analysed and developed. "For now, we will continue with its implementation and applications are still open online. "Upon completion, we will hand them over according to the requirements," he said, in reply to Datuk Wee Jeck Seng (BN-Tanjung Piai) who asked on the latest status of PR1MA home development. Shahidan also said the government would hold a meeting with PR1MA Malaysia Holdings to discuss the second phase of the next 80,000 units for this year. "PR1MA is not only the executor but also the manager of PR1MA homes applications," said Shahidan. "If successful applicants were found to have breached the regulations, a re-negotiation would be carried out." PR1MA homes are offered to Malaysians with an average household income of between RM2,500 to RM7,500 a month. http://www.nst.com.my/nation/gen ... 35952#ixzz2xDdhPKGK
