KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 — MCA vowed today Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's intervention if the Klang Valley MRT (KVMRT) project owners insist on acquiring land in Chinatown here for the rail development.
Gan Joon Zin, deputy team leader for MCA’s 1 Malaysia task force, said they would arrange a meeting between Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad and the traders to try and persuade them to reroute the Chinatown tunnel track.
“If Prasarana doesn’t listen to us, we will use our president (Datuk Seri Dr) Chua Soi Lek to bring citizens to meet with the prime minister,” he told the traders here in Lok Ann Hotel.
