Musician Jonathan Young has turned the song I’ll Make A Man Out Of You from Mulan into a rather moving rock song. Dramatic vocals, some epic guitar-playing and moody lighting turn the cutesy Disney track into something very far removed from the original. The result is a thumping, hardcore, hair-flipping rock-opera tune that gives the song more gusto and meaning.  When Young isn’t being all-manly like belting out the words, he’s seen squirting ketchup into his mouth, sporting a Batman mask and devouring beer and meat. In a clever nod to the original part of the film, Young adds the disclaimer ‘No Huns were harmed in the making of this video’. The addition of clips of his fellow YouTube users and friends performing the parts sung by other characters in the Disney film is a nice touch. Compare Jonathan’s musical effort with the original song below.
