LOS ANGELES, March 11 — Facebook will soon update the lay-out of its pages for brands, institution and celebrities, as it informed administrators today. The move will bring the look of these pages more in line with that of the network’s personal pages, with the timeline appearing in a single column on the right. According to the first images provided by Facebook, the new page lay-out will include a wide column with the timeline to the right. To the left, a narrower column will show the total number of likes and a list of users who have liked the page, along with the option to invite friends to like the page. The social network claims that the new lay-out will give page administrators easier access to the tools they use most for monitoring their audience or changing settings. The announcement arrives a few days after news that Facebook will revamp the appearance of its news feed, essentially through larger images and new icons. In both cases, the layout change will apply only to the web version of Facebook and will be rolled out progressively worldwide. — AFP/Relaxnews
