Lucky numbers...
What is your favourite or lucky number?

My favourite or I can say lucky is the combination of numbers 1 and 7.

Here I just wanna relate how I got associated with the numbers and how at some instances the numbers made me very lucky - praise be to Allah. No, I don't believe in numerology nor do I believe in feng shui. It so happen that I was associated with the numbers 1 and 7 a lot and any bearings from the numbers were the will of god.

My 1st association with the numbers was in 1992 when I bought a Nissan (cant't remember the model) with the registration plate number K117 from my friend. It was an early 1980s model and was registered in Sarawak. My friend, Basri who was then well known to malaysians at that time due to live news of an operation performed on his siamese twin daughters. One of his daughter died and miraculously one survived. Basri often spoke on TV3 to relate the progress of the operation. As a matter of fact I bought the car partially because I liked the number plate. However I did not use the car for long. It gave me a lot of headache due to problems on the power steering drive shaft. After I repaired it I sold to my neighbour at Taman Chi Liung in Pandamaran Klang. Well the car number was impressive but the car was not. I was not lucky with the number at this time. But the truth was, I was not very lucky with any cars that I bought thus far at all.

My 2nd assocition with the numbers 1 & 7 was when I bought one unit of double storey linked house at Taman Bukit Saga, Shah Alam which was near to PROTON. I bought it at about RM120k. The house was number 17. As soon as I received the keys and CF approved I sold it to a gentleman for RM160K. My net profit was about RM30k. I could've profit more if I'd sold it a week late where the CF would have matured for 1 year and I wouldn't have to pay the property gain tax. Anyway the RM30k profit was reasonble enough for me to purcahse a better house in Seremban which I am going to write in future.

My 3rd association with the numbers 1 & 7 was when I joined a company in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan. My staff number was 117.

My 4th association with the numbers 1 & 7 was when I bought a Proton Tiara with the registration number plate Tiara1117. As you know, it was not a good buy and as I had mentioned earlier I was not lucky with any cars that I had bought. I sold the car to my uncle with a considerable loss.

My 5th association with the numbers 1 & 7 was when I bought my present house at Green Street Homes 1 in Seremban 2. The lot number for the unit when it was on sales was Lot number C117. First the lot drew my attention because of the number. Second I noticed that it had a big reserve land which I could use for my own good. It was an end lot and the road beside it swerved big in the opposite direction to make it a big corner for the lot advantage. I was presented with a large 1500 sf of extra land in addition to the 4500 sf of land that I had to pay. Total land area is 6000 sf which I'm optimizing the use with good effect. I had managed to renovate my house to the maximum and and had managed to squeeze in 2 wakafs (traditional Malay hut) which become landmarks to my home here in Green Street Homes. Later, I will tell you how I've transformed my house totally to its new look now that at one time my mother in law cannot find her way to the old bathroom....heh..heh...
