Partial solar eclipse on Tuesday

PETALING JAYA: The first solar eclipse of 2011 will occur on Tuesday. The partial solar eclipse will only be visible in of Europe, North Africa and central Asia, according to NASA.

Malaysians will not be able to see it. The penumbral shadow first touches Earth's surface in northern Algeria at 2.40pm Tuesday.

As the shadow travels east, Western Europe will be treated to a partial eclipse at sunrise.

A sunset eclipse will be visible from central Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and northwest China.

Tuesday’s eclipse is the first of four solar eclipses set for 2011.

The next eclipse will happen on June 1 and will be visible in the eastern region of Asia, northern region of North America and some islands of the North Atlantic.

On July 1 another eclipse will occur and it will be over the Indian Ocean and the small islands in this ocean.

On Nov 25, 2011, another eclipse will occur and will be visible from the southern regions of Africa and Australia and whole of Antarctica.

Gerhana akan bermula pd jam 2:40:11 ptang Waktu Malaysia hari neh (4 Jan 2011). Kemuncak gerhana ialah pda jam 4:50:35 ptang Waktu Malaysia. Dan ia akan tamat pda jam 7:00:54 ptang Waktu Malaysia.

Kalo time gerhana matahari nie, boley buat solat sunat gerhana matahari...

Kecewa & sedey gak, sebab 4 kali eclipse berlaku tahun nie... kejadian yang menakjubkan ni tak akan dapat disaksikan di Malaysia
