THE phrase, serial killer, was first coined to describe American rapist-murderer Ted Bundy who was executed in the electric chair on Jan 24, 1989.

Since then, serial killer has become part of the English vocabulary.

Bundy, a law school dropout, used his good looks to lure, rape and murder at least 40 young women and girls, some as young as 12 years, during a four-year rampage in the mid-1970s.

His total tally is believed to be 150 women.

Born Theodore Robert Cowell Bundy, he was so cunning that he escaped from custody twice (to rape and kill again and again).

Caught a third time, and for good, Bundy used his legal knowledge to institute appeals that took nearly a decade. When his appeals were exhausted and he was finally executed, his death was celebrated not only by family and friends of his victims but other Americans.

There have been two telemovies about Bundy, and the first was 1986's The Deliberate Stranger starring Mark Harmon as Bundy (this drama was produced three years before Bundy was executed).

The second, a 2002 release titled simply, Ted Bundy, has Michael Reilly Burke in the title role, and is currently being shown over Astro's Cinemax channel – the forthcoming screenings are on July 3, 11, 18 and 23.

Here are other infamous serial killers and sex fiends around the world: # COUNTESS ELIZABETH BATHORY: Born in 1650, she may have been a butcher far more terrible than Jack the Ripper. In fact, the crimes attributed to her would make her one of the worst mass murderers in history.

Legend has it that this very rich, beautiful and high-born woman tortured and murdered about 650 young women – some as young as 12 years of age – and bathed in their warm blood to keep herself beautiful! # JACK THE RIPPER: Mary Ann ‘Polly' Nicholls, ‘Dark Annie' Chapman, Elizabeth ‘Long Liz' Stride, Catherine Eddows and Mary Jane Kelly were the victims of Jack the Ripper, the first serial killer in recorded history.

Despite the dozens of books written about Jack the Ripper – books crammed with speculation about his identity and his motivation – the fact is, no one knows anything about the actual man who committed the most infamous murders in the annals of crime. The only thing positively known about the Ripper is, the identities of his victims.

# JEFFREY DAHMER: Born on May 21, 1960, in Milwaukee, USA, Dahmer was sentenced to a total of 1,070 years in jail for killing, committing necrophilia and cannibalism on 17 people.

While in prison, he was ordered to clean the shower block by prison warders. Dahmer and a friend were attacked by inmates carrying broom shanks. The warders turned a blind eye and they were beaten to death. The leader of the gang was Christopher Scarver, 25, was hailed as a hero for his deed.

# HENRY LEE LUCAS: For several years during the mid-1980s, Henry Lee Lucas enjoyed the title of "the most infamous man on death row." When Lucas was sentenced to death in 1984, it wasn't for the 1960 murder of his mother. Nor was it for the 1982 cold-blooded rape and murder of Kate Rich, an 82-year-old Texas woman. And it wasn't even for the 1982 murder and dismemberment of Becky Powell, his longtime girlfriend.

Instead, Lucas was sent to death row for the 1979 rape and murder of a woman known only as ‘Orange Socks', a woman he probably never met.

After Lucas served 10 years in prison for the murder of his mother, he was released on parole. And he did kill again. During Lucas' second murder trial, in 1983, he shocked a Texas courtroom when he not only confessed to killing Rich, but then announced: "And I've got 100 more out there somewhere." Following news reports of Lucas' outburst, detectives and investigators from 19 states, lined up to interview him while a special task force worked round-the-clock to help lawmen solve more than 600 murders that Lucas would eventually confess to.

# ALBERT DESALVO: Sentenced to life for rape, Desalvo never stood trial for any of the murders, although he is thought to have murdered at least 13 women, ages ranging from 19 to 85. The first victim was in 1962.

Police and psychiatrists just couldn't accept that he was the real ‘Boston Strangler'. He didn't fit their profile. Nevertheless, his confessions held up, despite being heavily scrutinised.

He was stabbed to death in Walpole State Prison on Nov 26 , 1973, allegedly over a drug deal.

# JOHN WAYNE GACY: Born in Chicago in 1942, he used his home as a killing field and burial ground. From 1975 to 1978, in his ranch-style home, Gacy sexually assaulted, tortured, and murdered numerous boys and young men.

In all, Gacy murdered 33 victims. He went to trial in March 1980 and pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. Nobody bought his insanity plea, and he was found guilty and sentenced to die in the electric chair.

In 1980, they changed the way of death, from electric chair to lethal injection. John Wayne Gacy was executed on May 10, 1994.

# ANDREI CHIKATILO (Russia): Finally caught seven days after burying his last victim, he even took investigating officers to sites in the forest where he had hidden some of the bodies.

He admitted to at least 53 murders, and having had sex with at least one corpse. He was executed by firing squad on Feb 14, 1994.

# AHMAD SURADJI: On May 2, 1997, authorities arrested the self-described Indonesian witch doctor after three bodies were found buried in a sugar cane plantation near his home on the outskirts of Medan, the capital of North Sumatra.

Also known as Nasib Kelewang or Datuk Maringgi, Ahmad initially confessed to killing 16 women over a five-year period.

A search of Ahmad's property revealed clothes and watches belonging to 25 missing women. Under further questioning, the 48-year-old cattle breeder increased the body count of his 11-year rampage, to 42.

On April 27, 1998, an Indonesian court in North Sumatra found the sorcerer guilty of Indonesia's worst killing spree.

As the last of the 42 bodies was being unearthed, the deadly sorcerer was sentenced to death by firing squad.

Air hujan menjadi hitam pekat dan meletak mengandungi bahan-bahan radioaktif akbiat debu-debu letupan bom. Kawasan selebar 11 x 19 km telah dicemari dan ini memburukkan lagi malapetaka radiasi ke kawasan yang lebih luas. Umumnya semua dalam lingkungan 1,500 meter daripada pusat ledakan terbunuh.2,000 meter terbakar - rumah, tumbuhan dan semua dalam lingkungan 4,000 meter musnah.

Ni ada sedikit cerita tentang ALBERT FISH ...


Albert Fish was born in Washington DC in 1870.  At the age of 5 he was put into an orphanage.  At the orphanage he took sexual excitement in being abused which fuelled his mind for his fascination with sado-masochism.

At 7-years-of-age his mother took him out of the orphanage because she had obtained a job.  Shortly after he had a severe fall off a cherry tree which caused a head injury from which he would have permanent problems with such as headaches and dizzy spells ( head injuries happen to many serial killers early in their childhoods).

At the age of twenty he moved to New York, by then he had been involved in masochistic-homosexual relationships.  In New York he began raping children and paticapated in bizarre sexual acts.

He committed his first murder in 1910 from which he mutilated and tortured his victim.  From then on he indulged in torturing and killing children.  In the 1920's Fish travelled accross 23 US states painting house's, he seized this as a perfect opportunity to commit his perverted acts on children.

Fish also frequently read the bible and said that god-like voices had told him to kill.   He also liked inserting needles into his body near the genitals, acts of pain sexually excited him.

On 28 May 1928 a man calling himself Frank Howard made acquantices with the Budd family.  One day Mr Howard asked if he could take Grace, their 10-year-old daughter, to a party.  The Budds allowed him and they never saw their daughter or the old man ever again.  The Mr Howard was in fact the 58-year-old Albert Fish, who thought up the idea of killing Grace Budd so he could use her body for acts of cannibalism.

Six years later the Budd's received an anonymous letter from the murderer who admitted to killing Grace and afterwards cooked and ate her body.  The police tracked the letter back to some apartments where they matched the writing of the letter to Albert Fish who was a tenant.

Albert Fish was also the 'Brooklyn Vampire' who claimed the lives of four children in 1932-34.  Fish was sent to trial for the murder of Grace Budd, his defence was insanity.  The jury did not agree and Fish was sentenced to death.

At Sing Sing Prison on 16 January 1936 Albert Fish who described the death sentence as 'the supreme thrill of my life', was electrocuted.  The first electrical charge failed as it was short circuited by all the needles Fish had inserted in his body over the years.  Albert Fish had committed hundreds of sexual assaults and 16 or more murders.

Botak Chin ni memang famous ... ada yang kata dia victim of society ... dia masa muda remaja lagi telah diconvict ... sisitem perundangan sepatutnya tak imprison dia bersama banduan-banduan lagi ... dia perlu masuk rehabilitation centre bukan penjara ... that's why bila dia keluar penjara, dia jadi lagi ganas.
