The story of one small victory ...    In 1955, the patience of blacks in Montgomery (Alabama, USA) is exhausted.  White finally ueli black fences on public transport.  By then the law, blacks were not supposed to take the bus the first four series of "whites only".  If all the seats "whites only" were employed, the blacks had to sit with white to give the passengers their seats.  And negros staged a boycott of the buses.  To join the black population sympathized with white.  Buses are empty.  Under pressure from public authorities surrendered and offensive to the "colored" (in fact, not only oppressed blacks and mestizos, Indians, etc.), laws have been repealed.
  An important detail: the boycott lasted 381 days.  That someone can learn from the struggle for their rights.

  Among bus drivers did not have blacks and whites even though some drivers were polite, too many of them allowed themselves to insults and curses against the Negro.  It is natural to hear the bus as they shouted the negroes: "Black Cow," "niggers," "black monkey."  Often negros pay tolls at the entrance, and then had to go down again to take the bus from the rear platform, and very often the bus left before the black man approached the back door, taking his fare ... the Negro was forced to stand, although in buses were empty seats "for whites only."
  Even if the bus had no passengers whites, blacks and jammed a lot, they were not allowed to sit on the first four places.  But it was not all.  If all the seats, designed for whites, they were already occupied, and the bus entered the new white passengers, negros, sitting on a non-reserved places are behind the seats for whites, had to get up and give them a place.  If a Negro refused to do so, he was arrested.  In most cases, negros obey this rule, without objection, although from time to time there were some who refused to submit to this humiliation.  (Martin Luther King)

  December 1, 1955 42-year-old African-American seamstress from Alabama Rosa Parks refused to give way to a white passenger, a man in Montgomery.  She was arrested and sentenced to a fine.  In the same year, the buses in Montgomery were arrested five women and two children, not including black men, one black man was shot and killed the driver.

  All as one, went on foot.

  Buses are empty.

  Many move on bicycles.

  Motorists were driving up the boycotters.

  Ku Klux Klan is not idle, and said terror: in response to the abolition of the racist laws of the new hybrid buses have been shot, set on fire.

    salah seorang yang bangkit menentang adalah  Martin Luther King Jr. seorang aktivis kulit hitam (dulunya seorang baptist minister kat gereja) yang berjaya dlm perjuangannya, dia juga mengetuai Montgomery bus boycott tu..dia merupakan pemenang anugerah nobel keamanan termuda pada 1964, dia mati dibunuh kat Memphis, Tennessee tahun 1968 ....Pada hari ni setiap minggu ketiga hari isnin dalam bulan january Amerika menyambut hari  Martin Luther King Jr. dan public holiday...

    ha ah..mmg patut! haramkan terus xyah naik public transport, jalan kaki je

geram ingat2 balik time aku mmu cyber dulu. mentang2 kita budak, students..derang semua ni indon, bangla, vietnam suka2 tolak orang potong que biar malaysians ni berdiri, depa duluk rileks dalam bas. sejam lebih berdiri tau x! dah la busuk!
