FlyNano is built to operate in moderate water waves and wind conditions, reaching a max speed of approximately 87 mph with a service ceiling equated to nearly 10,000 feet in the air. While the current specs are impressive for such an innovative and energy-efficient flying mechanism, the ongoing project is continually being tested and improved. As of right now, the battery lasts for only half an hour but engineers are constantly evolving the plane's design to be as efficient as possible.

Though the FlyNano isn't being shipped out just yet, there is an ex-factory price of approximately $40,250 with the additional cost of a transport and storage trailer that'll set you back just shy of $6,700. You'll also have to check your area's regulations on aviation licensing to know what type of license you'll need (if any) to navigate the aircraft. |
