[Sarawak] Dua rumah panjang dikompaun kerana menjalankan upacara miring

KUCHING: Dua buah rumah panjang iaitu masing-masing satu di Sarikei dan Bintangor telah dikenakan kompaun sebanyak RM4,000 oleh Pejabat Kesihatan Bahagian Sarikei.

Jawatankuasa Pengurusan Bencana Negeri Sarawak (JPBNS) berkata, dua buah rumah panjang berkenaan adalah Rumah Panjang iaitu Rumah Lingga, Sungai Selangan di Sarikei dan Rumah Thomas Settian, Skim B, Bintangor.

"Ia kerana telah menjalankan upacara miring pada 31 Mei 2021 yang lalu.

"Acara tersebut mengakibatkan kesukaran untuk mematuhi prosedur operasi standard (SOP) yang telah dikuatkuasakan," katanya menerusi kenyataan, hari ini.

Sementara itu, menurut jawatankuasa, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) juga telah mengeluarkan mengeluarkan sebanyak 83 kompaun di daerah iaitu Kuching (41), Bintulu (24), Miri (5), Mukah (4), Sarikei (3), Dalat (3), Sibu (1), Betong (1), dan Lawas (1) kerana telah melanggar SOP.

Katanya, ia menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kompaun yang dikeluarkan sejak 18 Mac 2020 hingga hari ini sebanyak 7,473 kompaun.

"Manakala Kementerian Kerajaan Tempatan dan Perumahan Sarawak pula telah mengeluarkan lapan kompaun, menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan kompaun yang dikeluarkan oleh pihak berkuasa tempatan sejak 1 Februari 2021 hingga hari ini adalah sebanyak 944.

Berhubung laporan harian aktiviti pemberian vaksin COVID-19 di Sarawak, JPBNS memaklumkan pada 8 Jun 2021 seramai 5,234 orang diberi vaksin dos pertama dan 6,872 orang diberi vaksin dos kedua.

Katanya, secara kumulatif sehingga 8 Jun 2021, seramai 254,743 penduduk telah menerima vaksin COVID-19 dos pertama (8.9 peratus daripada keseluruhan populasi Sarawak), manakala 125,650 penduduk telah lengkap menerima dos kedua (4.3 peratus daripada keseluruhan populasi).

Longhouses issued RM4, 000 compound notice for SOP violations on Gawai eve

KUCHING: Two longhouses in Sarawak have been issued compound notices of RM4, 000 each for breaching Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) on Gawai eve.

The Sarikei divisional health office issued the compounds to Rumah Lingga at Sungai Selangan in Sarikei and Rumah Thomas Settian at Skim B, Bintangor, for holding the "miring" (ritual offering) ceremony on May 31.

"SOP was not observed during the ceremony," the state disaster management committee said in a statement on Wednesday (June 9).

It also said Sarawak reported 419 new cases and three deaths on Wednesday.

This takes the state's cumulative tally to 53, 000 cases with 330 fatalities.

Kuching district had the most cases with 124 while 26 other districts recorded between one and 89 cases each.

The latest deaths were two men aged 66 and 79 who died at Kapit Hospital, and a 66-year-old woman who died at Sibu Hospital.

The committee also said two new community clusters were identified in Sri Aman and Kuching.

It said the Kampung Hilir Lingga cluster spread through social interaction and visiting during Hari Raya Aidilfitri at Kampung Hilir Lingga, Kampung Masjid Baru Lingga and Taman Pasir Panas in Sri Aman.

"A total of 32 individuals have been screened and 23 tested positive. There has been one death in this cluster," the committee said.

In Kuching, the Kampung Sinar Budi Baru cluster involved three families at Kampung Sinar Budi Baru, with 19 confirmed cases out of 38 individuals screened to date.
