Olympics: Mexico thrash France to open Tokyo campaign

It's all over at Tokyo Stadium and after France got one back, El Tri turned up the heat.

Uriel Antuna (80') and substitute Eduardo Aguirre (90' +1) each found the net to run up the score.

Mexico 4 France 1 is the final score. Over in Ibaraki, Chris Wood's lone goal was enough to propel New Zealand to a 1–0 win over Rep. Korea. That's their first win at an Olympic Games.

It's still 1–1 between Côte d'Ivoire and Saudi Arabia.
