Dear Catholic,

anyone of you have prayed the novena? like St. Jude novena or other novena prayer?

How about Hail Mary novena prayer? let's share..:tq:

Ah! bukan temapt yg tepat utk u tanya soal itu. Pi lah cari kawan yg rajin ikut novena. Anda kena ikut baru boleh faham. Nak tanya bukan utk faham tapi sekadar mencipta persoalan dan kesangsian agaknya.

Tunggulah kalau ada bijak pandai yg boleh memahamkan anda mengenainya di sini.....

not the right place to ask ker? bukankah ini bod christian and christianity?? regardles of christian denomination? saya rasa any christian pun boleh bertanya di bod ini, bukan?

belum apa2 lagi dah mula nak judge people to create persoalan atau kesangsian.. apa raaaa..

kalo awak bukan catholic.. tak payahlah nak masuk thread ini.. biarlah yg dapat berkongsi saja yg posting mesej kat sini.. thread ni dibuka bukan untuk mencipta persoalan atau kesangsian.. tapi sekadar berkongsi apa itu novena..in terms of the power of novena and testimony..

care to share abit about novena prayer? How are novena prayers like? i'm not a Catholic.. but your post has aroused my curiosity.. so care to share with us some info on it for our knowledge purposes?

Novenas are very popular for Catholics. It's a traditional Catholic prayer method. A novena is when a series of prayers are given for nine days straight for a special intention. The novena is offered as a sacrifice to God. God sees a novena as a sign of devotion especially when the person saying the novena asks for a specific reason. There are many novenas to choose from to different saints.

Difficulty: Easy

Time Required: a few minutes for 9 or more days

Here's How:

1. Decide on an intention. You can decide a very specific intention or something general. Decide on something that is important to you or someone you care about. You can also pray for the intention of God.

2. Look through these novenas to find one that you'd like to say.

3. Say all of the prayers that are listed and required. Don't forget to state your intention.

4. Repeat step 3 for nine days straight or longer if the novena requires longer days.

5. You can say novenas as often as you'd like. You can say them for your intentions and others.

6. Be thankful even if your intention hasn't been answered immediately. God listens to all of our prayers even if He doesn't respond as we like. You can repeat the novena again for that particular intention too.

Tips:

1. Set a certain time everyday you want to say the novena so you won't forget.
2. Be open to hear God especially if it's something you might not want to know or hear.
3. Educate others about novenas and tell them how they help you.
4. Take the Novena a Week Course to learn new novenas.

3. Open heart
4. Few minutes a day

Ok....
Nak memahami sesuatu yg berunsur penghayatan dan sentuhan jiwa/iman. caranya bukan melalui pertanyaan dlm forum sebegini.... Kaedah yg tepat utk memahami adalah dengan mengauli dan menyertai novena itu sendiri.

boleh tanya? setiap novena prayer adalah untuk tujuan tertentu bukan? so, this novena prayer pula untuk apa? penyembuhan, special intention, etc...?
