tgk ptg tadi.. geramnye, kenapa cathay x follow wednesday price.. kena RM11 tadi.. sdgkn kat GSC, TGV movie blokbuster pun kire wednesday price bile hari rabu..

overall ok la movie ni.. as usual, kalau cite cina, korea, jepun zaman lama aku mesti susah nak recognize org dan watak.. pening gak nak detect musuh mana satu tadi, hehe.. kalau pelakon yg familiar tu xdak hal sbb 4 sure leh recognize..

battle die best la.. seronok tgk konsep kura2 tu..

err.. watak Lin Chi Lin ke apa nama pelakon tu.. macam x menonjol sgt.. rasa cam tempelan je, igtkan watak utama.. x tau la kut2 part 2 bnyk watak die.. (tetiba teringat Diana Danielle dlm Evoluis KL Drift, tempelan betul..

)

i've watched all three movies, the best would be dark knight, followed by red cliff, and only then hellboy.

maybe, if i were to be a chinese who grew up with the tales of the one in red cliff, i'd be more inclined to say red cliff, but, like the one-ring, the power of the dark knight cannot be undone.

sbb utama i said dark knight trumps red cliff ialah, at times, red cliff nyer scenes terlalu mementingkan battle scenes, yg hampir memakan 3/5 daripada the whole movie. pastu, peralihan daripada battle scenes ke normal scenes, are not smooth enough.

saya rasa, red cliff ni mcm suffering from a "not-an-excellent"@ bad editing la. a great movie, if you really think it's great, you wouldn't even sense the time flying by, but not in red cliff. i just felt like it would do with a better editing.

on the whole though, it was a good movie none the less. i particularly like the strategist Kaneshiro, subtle and gentle with his execution

even with it's minor flaws, it still is a movie that you should go and watch

p/s: didn't knew that the movie was a two-parter, and i was just gob-smacked when i saw the "To be continued"stamped on the screen when it finished.

pada sesiapa yang dah pernah baca history tentang cao cao ni
akan faham why this battle happened etc...

anyway - no doubt dark knight is great movie
in its own way

pada saya - red cliff is better and given a choice
saya rather watch red cliff again -

the battle is what this movie about
they are battling - joint forces three wilayah
utk tumpaskan cao cao yang memang cunning
and very smart too -

and the strategy that they do is what makes
this movie very interesting -

plus the great actors involved -

to each their own, as they say.

i do understand that the battles are what the movie is all about, but, if u were to compare it to something like LOTR, they're different in the sense that, red cliff did not portray the emotions of movie to its fullest potential. remember the scene in either LOTR:TTT, or LOTR:RotK, i'm not sure which one's which, but there was this one scene where Saruman's baddies were rampaging through a village, and there was this family, consisting of a mother, a sister, and a brother.

the mother lifts her daughter and her son to a horse as a means of escaping, and while trying to maintain her cucumber calmness, answered "i'll be right behind you guys", when the daughter asked why isn't she coming with them, and we know that she actually intended only for them to survive. it was so emotional then, but more so, when the siblings got back to the white city, and they saw their mom there, safe and sound. that was 2 scenes involving minor characters, and it was just beautiful.

i'm saying that red cliff are missing scenes like that.
