A CHEEKY pickpocket was caught on camera stealing a woman's mobile phone - with CHOPSTICKS.And police believe he is part of a gang of opportunists targeting busy shoppers in cities. The brazen thief was snapped as he used the wooden utensils to rifle through the bag of an unsuspecting woman in China. The thefts are carried out in broad daylight in front of other shoppers and in full view of CCTV cameras. And the use of the chopsticks means that no fingerprints are left on the valuables stolen. In one image a woman wearing a black and white coat is unaware a thief is attempting to rob her using chopsticks. In another clip a woman is approached from behind by a pickpocket who grabs her mobile phone out of her white full-length coat.
He grips the phone between the wooden sticks before placing it in a white handkerchief and fleeing. Luckily, she walks away before the thief has a chance to steal her belongings. An onlooker said: "It's so obvious what the gang are doing but no one does anything. "This gang know exactly what they are doing and are highly skilled. "By using chopsticks they avoid getting caught with their hands in the victim's pockets and don't leave fingerprints on stolen property."
