Xia Xiao Wan is a creative Chinese artist, born in 1959. Xia Xiao Wan uses an interesting and unique technique of compiling multiple layers of 2d paintings to create a 3d image. His technique consists of using special pencils and 14 to 30 panes of tinted glass. Xia Xiao Wan combines material, technology and painting. The human body is a starting point and fixed point in the artist’s works. He regarded as a basic means of knowledge –much the same as it is with sketching. For example, contorted, blended together and seeming subject to a constant state of metamorphosis. Xia’s figures inculcate seemingly paradoxical themes such as life, death, decay and return to a fetal condition together. Check out some incredible photos of Xia’s art.
